I want to source some advices.  My daughter was accepted by SP for the 07 K1.  She is now study at K1 and will promot to K2 after summer holiday.  Although she is a small baby but her progress report is not bad (all are above average and English can get 5 stars).  This year she progress a lot in English and I very appreciate the teacher's effort .  So I'm now struggling to let her go to SP or not.  SP is almost a one dragon school and no need to worry about Primary & Secondary school.  But she need to repeat K1 again

Which school you are talking about?  SP? Is it St. Paul or other school?

If its St. Paul, I'm not sure if its "train-through" school or not.  My son was also accepted by St. Paul when he was 2 years old.  But we finally didn't take it as my husband said this school cannot guarantee to go direct to St. Paul primary school.  And also we consider of the location is too far for us.  Therefore we choose St. Catherine instead.

So, I think you better check carefully for what you mean of "One dragon".  As there seems no SP on the Government list of 一條龍 school .

Thanks for your reply.  I'm referring to St.Paul KG at Causeway Bay.  After sitting the parent's talk at St. Paul, they said that most of the KG student can go to its primary school.  For the travelling time, from my home it only take 15 mins to SP but take 45 mins to SC.  BTW, 我哋又驚呀女第日考唔到好嘅小學呢!  但如果去St.Paul 又要重頭開始過,唔知呀女有mud反應,驚佢冇咗D動力,好難取捨

KiuMa, 據我所知, St. Paul Convent Nursery 就一定直上小學, kinder就未必, %我就唔知幾多......但, kinder可以用學卷喎!!! 早知的話我都會幫亞囡轉, 可以用學卷真係省唔少吖! 但, 大前提我唔想個囡repeat, 因, 呢d quota 可一不可再, 萬一, 第2 時亞囡讀書唔掂, 真係要repeat, 仲有quota用....您有無諗過學校會唔會consider您插入K2???? 您都話佢成績唔差....不如試下吖!

KiuMA, 我又覺得您唔使担心萬一repeat亞囡d反應喎! 返學只要開心就得架啦, 佢地都係當玩啫....您咪解釋俾佢聽, 新學校要佢讀多次k1囉, 佢地好醒目, 會明白的!

我反而都係覺得個quote問題囉....您兩公婆諗下啦, 您老公點睇???

St. Paul  唔收細女，惟有今年考，但同時呀女係SC又讀得好好,唔係好想放棄,但要博下考小一．
我老公唔係好想呀女repeat.  不過 St.Paul 有中小學做backup，重有學卷，每月學費差成２仟幾一個月，都幾吸引

Understand you have much concern on this.  I believe both St. Catherine & St. Paul are good kindergartens.  

I think the kids can adapt the environment easily which is out of our imagination.  If your daughter go for K1 again, she will be the eldest girl and know more comparing to the others in the class.  My friend's daughter also repeat K1 because she is "small girl" and my friend want her daughter to get better foundation before go to K2.  But if your daugher can catch the progress... it really depends on whether spending 1 more year is worth to get higher chance (or guarantee) to go into the related primary school.....   

For me, I like St. Catherine because of the phonics and the Anglo-Chinese teaching.  Although a lot of competition from so many children graduated yearly, I'm sure my son has learned a lot within these 3 years.  

不過, 你真係要考慮清楚, 最好做左個決定之後要堅定, 唔會後悔, 如果唔係第日成日怪自己就無謂啦!!

Kristen supposed give classmate a piece of paper with about 6 stickers
But I think too many kids Kristen wanted to distribute so that become each one has "some" stickers

If I were you, I would take this offer from SP.  No matter you choose ST Cat or  SP, you need to take a risk for primary school but the risk of SP is relatively lower.  Of course this is my own opinion.  You should step back, take a break and consider it seriously with your husband.
