I can't find any "A problem a month" as mentioned by other moms.  Did your girl bring back the exercise home?  I just wonder if my girl missed again or not.

HappyTogether, just wonder why they need to bring scissors and wet towel?  Is that for VA? or for lunch?

They need scissors to cut the food.  Like, if they order pork chop or chicken wings, it will be more convenient for them to cut the food into smaller pieces.  Please give her the kids' scissors which are with rounded head and better with a holder as well.

Wet towel is for clean up after lunch.  You can give her wet tissues instead.

Moreover, don't forget the spoon & fork.

來字是沒有鈎的.  

妳要用"華康標準宋體"在電腦使用.  所顯的オ是現在中文字體的標準字型.  原因及下載方法, 請看之前在此topic我寫過的mesage.

It will be helpful if Maryknoll has a clear statement about the standard they adopt such as  "華康標準宋體" as recommended in the Website or Longman dictionary as widely used by primary students.  

With a clear idea of the preferred standard, we can guide our kids to check out the proper style by themselves.   Unfortunately,  I find that such reference is not stated in the Memo to parent for the Chinese subject.

I think most Chinese dictionary is correct.  I use 商務because its' words size is big enough and has strokes details.

Regarding the "華康標準宋體", it is for computer fonts.  When I have any doubt, I will type the word in the Words, then use 200 font size to enlarge the word, doing this will show me & my girl the detail of the word.  That's why I need this font in my computer and I suggest you all to download this font.

Levels 1 - 3 is the achievement level in each term.  I am not sure if P.1 notice is the same as P.2, the number under each item is the minimum numbers they need to finish by the end of each term in order to reach that level.  The level calculate all 7 items for Level 3.  

For example, according to the notice I got, by the end of December, if my girl can borrow 20 books, 2 magazines and 2 CD-Roms from the school library and finished 40 each of item 6 & 7, plus finished the area B assigned in that term, then, she reached Level 3.  If she can't finish these numbers but more than the numbers stated for Level 2, she achieve the Level 2 instead.
