Re: 浸會大學附屬王錦輝中小學
chanpa,
My son will apply 07-08 P.1 of this school. I want to know how many interest classes children have to take? All fees are included in the tuition fee?
I think the support system is great in this school. The only thing that worries me is the teaching material (content) of the school and the teaching quality. The are still recruiting staff in the internet. I guess no body can tell the answer but hoping that all children there can learn happily.
Can you also tell me what the interview was like with your child? Was it conduct in English as the teaching medium is English? Did they test children's madarin?
Thank you very much in advance.

My son also gets a seat in P.2. In P.1, he studied in a traditional school and had satisfactory academic performance. But I had to struggle with him for interest classes, revision, homework within three hours at nights everyday. We quarrelled and were very tired. If this happens in the coming years, how can I and my son survive.
There is no free lunch. The school fee, $3500/m, is not expensive as the fee includes the interest classes in the afternoon.
The most important things are that the teaching medium is English and Mandarin and the school provides a good environment (small size class with two teachers) for learning the language. There is much more interaction between teachers and the students. If the children's language ability is good, they have no problem in learning other subjects in secondary school needless to say in the university.
Of course, I expect the school will be confused as teachers, students, principals should have adjustment problems in the beginning. It is very important that the parents have to support the school. There is a good communication channel among the students, teachers, parents and principals for improvement. Don't just blame the school for not doing that or that. We are on the same boat with our children. |
