All,
i took my girl to school a few days ago. The school gate opend at about 1:15pm. Then kids had to take their time to go to washroom, go up to classroom, put different homeworks to different piles accordingly, take the handbook / dictation paper to the class teacher to sign, put the water bottle to proper location, put the school bag under the desk, wear mask. Then i saw my girl went to pick a story book from a corner and back to her seat to read (just a few minutes only).... a lot to do, so busy, kids look so independent!
When i left the classroom at 1:35pm, some kids were still busy and had not gone back to their seats yet. On my way out, some kids (probaby taking school bus / van) were still going up to their classrooms.
I could recall my elder one in his KG time (not Kentville) , he just need to put 1 homework folder at speciifed location, and then played toys till the bell rang. And his school opened at least 30min b4 lesson (not 20min as Kentville).
There is really an 'office' feel in Kentville!
