可能年代不同，競爭程度都不同，近年已有三百多尖子投考劍橋大學，每年平均50+被取錄，成功率約15%。我估計當年的成功率會高一些。
軟實力- 不同人有不同理解，能否演繹清楚一點。先謝！

Competition should be keen all the way but guts feel awareness of other Ivey league schools improved. Therefore, some very outstanding students have been applying some uniys Hong Kong parents have never heard. And depends on which school of Oxbridge you are applying right? For example, I think we won't apply Oxbridge for biz programs. Probably go for Chicago, Harvard or so.
"軟實力＂in primary school application： it's matter when all candidates performed equally well or at least in similar rank, other references (校長、董、主要sponsors...etc) will count :)

Yukyukma, All the best! We also wait for two others but just peace of mind. We try to appreciate each of these schools and, as parents and student, will contribute our best THE ONE we "matched" by the end, hopefully :)

For "軟實力＂, I guess the influence for Universities may be much lower than primary school admission.

For Ivy League and Oxbridge, I also consider the subject league table as well and up to Graduate schools.

之前入到DBS的second in已經好滿足，這間也是我們的dream school，如果可以錄取真係夢想成真！所以各位家長在這段等待時間忐忑的心情我也是身有同感，不過好感恩，仔已被另一間男女校錄取，為了妹妹的將來，就算好彩能得到DBS的offer，都應該會放棄，所以我要對這份煎熬揮手88了！祝各位好運，能收到DBS聖誕厚禮！就算係waiting list也不要放棄，一定會有類似我這樣的家長因種種因素選擇其他學校的。。。

可能妹妹都叻考到入女拔喎. 唔係講笑, 我朋友是這樣. 當然我知道非必然, 但考到唔讀好似好浪費.

沒辦法這麼乾脆行事，始終還有個妹妹將來要備戰，所以都想知最後結果，為個小朋友做的努力夠不夠！
