i will register tmr morning cos need to work overtime today.  It is better to visit their briefing before you make any decision.
i am living in Shaukeiwan and have applied 慈幼英文, 港大同學會 and 蘇浙 for my son. As i know, Hon Wah accepts all the applicants until they are full.

I do believe Hon Wah would put a lot of effort to build up its reputation in the coming years just like 港大同學會.

any comment of 慈幼英文?

I will attend the briefing next Saturday.
Um...as you are living so near, If I were u , I'll no doubt register, because it's so convinient.
Um....the staff at HonWah said, I should register befoe28th, but i said I really want to attend the briefing first as you said , b4 I made any decision.
Can u ask how many applicants are there this year?

Actually, I am frustrated, because no one agree with me that I sould go to HonWah, including my sister and husband, they think that's too far.....
I want to settle down quick.
I am aslo waiting for the result from HKUGA & St Margaret but the chance is little.
Don't you think that they will still accept registration after 20/11?
As I know another interview will be carried out on 18th November.

Don't worry too much. i believe they will accept your application even you give up the register on Oct 28.  However, if the result of HKUGA is going to be announced before Nov 20, there would be more applications to Hon Wah, please consider.

I will try to ask how many applicants are there this year tmr.

In fact, the distance to school is definitely a criteria for me. That's why i did not apply the good schools in the Wanchai and Central.....

And it is important to visit their briefing first. Please bring along your child too.  I let him choose what school he likes.

My son interviewed at HKUGA this morning and i got the feeling that the teachers are not so friendly   Maybe there were too crowded and too many applicants......

Afterwards, i registered in HonWah.  I asked how many applicated registered,  but they were not willing to tell and just said they did not know yet.

My daughter ....no 2nd interview chance for HKUGA.
I'm not too disappointed as I know the chance was very little. And my daughter said she love HONWAH more. 當然我是十分欣賞hkugh.

And actually why don't u continue to get a lucky draw in NOV &　JAN? And decided to register in HONWAH? How can u make a decision so 果斷?真佩服。

i gave up the lucky draw cos i prefer DSS / private schools which have  better learning language enviroment and small group learning.

My son likes English very much. He can definitely preform himself well in the English learning environment. And he is a "細仔" who needs more care too.

So i believe DSS or private schools are more suitable for me.

What is the school fee each month and how many P1 class/students are there this year?

l lived in ngau tau kok,when l made the decision let my daugther study in hw,all my friends and my mother rejected me. l don't know how to explain,after interveiw,my daugther told me she love here very much and want to study here.  l trust my feeling after see the headmistress(ms Ng),she was sincere and kind. l think she will put  lots of effort to enhance the reputation of the school.  The english teacher is come from England,he has BA(Hons)Degree from Cardiff University and a teaching English as a second language(TESOL)qualification fromTrinity College,London.He also studying part time at HK University for (PGDE),he had over 12ys teaching experience. l believe my daugther was very fortunate studying in HW,the classes are very small,and each child can receive a great deal of individual attention,and the teachers has the heart to teach student,enhance their knowledge in variety of ways.The only subject l don't like they teach maths with chinese,anyway,if you want your child study with no pressure,l sure HW is the right choice,its not a traditional primary school.  My child just 6ys old,l don't want she spend all the time for homework,l believe must be make it step by step to keep the interest for lifelong learning.

Hi ngaichuiwa,

i got the same feeling with yours. As a mom, i will choose the principal and teachers for my kid, instead of the "brand" of the school. I like them and feel they really put the effort in teaching with their hearts. I am sure my son will be happy to study there. I vote HW.

because this is the first year,l think not much parent dare to let their child to join this new school.P1 2class,each class 15 students. Why l choose this school? just according my feeling,and my daugther loves it too!
