My twin boys go to the interview with their father this morning.  They were interviewed together by the headmistress for around 10 minutes.  The headmistress just asked them some simple questions like how to differentiate you two, what do you play at home, will you fight with each other, etc.  Then the headmistress showed them a picture of a farm and asked them something about what's in the picture, how many animals, how many trees, what can be eat, etc.

The parent was seating just outside the interview room and can see/listen the own process.

Envy you -- I had wanted to have a pair of twin boys! (my cousin has a pair of twin gals that gave me "some" hope).

My son interviewed this morning.  A very brief one, took about 5 minutes.  

We arrived some 20-25 minutes earlier and were arranged to wait at hall.  Then at around the indicated time, a group of 2 - 3 children were invited into the office where there were some books and toys.  As far as I could see, no one was observating them.  Then one kid was invited to the headmistress' room.  There are a 2 sofas in the headmistress room arranged in L shape.  The child was asked to sit in one while the headmistress in the other.  Similar to what H & W Mama said, the headmistress asked simple daily questions, like: what's your name? which kindergarten you are in?  what do you like to play in your kindergarten?  what is your family doing on weekends?....  Then my son was given a picture to spot the odd things: like spots on a lion, rabbit ears on a tiger....
Parents were sitting right outside the room viewing and listening to the whole process.

Wow... it took me some time to relocate this topic... it really had sunk to the bottom, ha ha ha...

Right, this is a report - my boy just had the interview today (10/10) afternoon.

First of all, everyone (4 or 5 kids) I saw was wearing quite causal (!).  I was a bit surprised.

We arrived early and before the interview, we were asked to play in a room next to the principal's office.  There were about 3 families there, all kids are very polite and well-behaved.  It will be nice to have these kids as my kid's classmates I thought at the time.  Sweet.

Then it's the interview time.  We adults were sitting really very close to the principal's room and we heard everything said clearly.  The principal smiled ALL THE TIME... I think she really likes kids otherwise, it must be very tiring for her to smile for that long... just like what we did for the wedding banquet!  Nice.

A little sharing: my kid was only ok but not perfect.  Maybe it's becos he's still in medication (he caught a flu this weekend and has not fully recovered, now coughing frequently...) :cry:

Final comment: the principal has given me very good impression, I like this school already!

Can I just get me some time to share my experience on last year.... You are all right. The headmistress are very nice way to train up the boys in a very self-discipline school life at school. Even though they can't run in the playground, they should be stuff their clothes in their trousers all the time, they can't talk in the changing class....etc. All the boys are very self-discipline to do so. They know that are the things they have to follow if they want to be a good boy. All they willing to do so.
What the headmistress looking for? What my experiences, the boys are smart, confident in answering question without hesitate and independant without parent's looking after... that are the boys she looking for.
By the way, comparing on last year, you are all lucky than ours last year, as you got less kids for competition from the 90 seats. Take it easy. Just try to ask you boys to express himself as usual.. Be confident without stress.... Good Luck...
