my son is ok to ride on the school bus except he'll cry and ask me stay home and wait for him after school.  so far I found the driver and the bus assistant are ok but departure time is too early for Ma On Shan stop.  Our stop is the first ride on stop at 7:25am and sometimes school bus arrive @7:20am.

what's the ride on time at your stop?

hello 095kath, how are you?  my son is Andrew & study in Mickey Mouse class.  what's the class of your son?  is it ok for him today when take school bus back home?

I don't recall my elder daughter has any phonics book but they do have worksheets and learn in class.  Re mandarin, I don't remember seeing any book on this neither, but they do have classes too.    And they have it throughout K1-K3, so a long learning process.  Don't worry.

Regarding no books for reading at home, then you could buy some story books as they will start doing book reports after Nov (if I remember correctly) every week.  

My daughter is bringing in worksheet everyday, she is enjoying herself a lot.

thank you!  I think Andrew prefers no school bag because he knows tmrw is the playing date in school and Friday is the last day to go to school every week.  

he expects Sat & Sun I can stay home with him and no need to go to office!  and then I need to explain him on Sunday night again mami need to go to office on Mon la!  he cries every morning if he knows I won't stay home & wait him back after school.  how can I do?

Hello Andrew Mami,

My son is in winnie the pooh, and he loves to go to school everyday.
Today was his birthday party but he still threw up at school and back on the school bus. Many times.
Poor son! Thought he loves this school very much, but he said, "I don't want to take the school bus, I hope you can take me on the KCR." I still hope that he can get use to sea-sick.

Very Disappointed!  

Last Thu, Owin's mother received a paid bag from school/bus company.  On the bag, it clearly stated that a school bus will arrived TKO at 8:00am on Friday morning to pick up Owin to school.  It also stated that the driver's name is called '鄧叔叔' and the car number.

However, on Friday morning, NO school bus came!!  Owin and his grandmother stand from 7:55am to 8:30am at the required location under a very very hot sun!!

It make me very angry! Finally, I drived my son to school and when I see the woman of the school bus company outside the school, I asked for the reason of missing bus! She just told me the schedule was not confirmed yet so the driver don't know to come!  

If it is not confirmed, so why give my wife the paid bag and all information!?? It is unaccepable!  It only reflected that their arrangement and communication is so bad!

Now, I was no confidence on their service...

What should I do??

Hi, Shan Shan, CSO & every K1 parent ,

I used to buy books. They are very expensive. The point is my son merely like some of them.  Now iI borrow from the library. But it takes time to choose the books for his age. Maybe I am too lazy to expect the school support. I presumed the teachers know which kind of books fit the kids at the age. Avery is the first kid. I have no experience with the kid. The positive of the SJC is their choose very interesting books for the teaching materials, such as the alphabet book, the numbers etc.  Hoe they teach the Chinese in Cantonese?

Dear K1 Parant,

Do you know usually SJC students study in which primary school after they graduated from SJC?
I think the playground of SJC primary school is too small for children to play. Do you think so? Will you let your child to study SJC primary also?
Please advise.

sjc好似可以接喇沙等小學,因為我有朋友囡囡升左去瑪利落丫.  But, 我吾係心儀這些名校, 我想andrew第日可以去考優材尼

Oh!  That's really bad from the school bus company wor.      I do feel sorry for Owin and his grandmother for standing there for such a long time.     Let's hope that it's some misunderstanding within the company as they are normally ok.  At least, so far for us.  They have been very cooperative.

My son still has volmet everyday.  
So I decided to send him school myself every morning and let him to take the school bus home. Ms. Helen told me that he even volmet at snack time. Fortunately, I' m a full time mama who can send him everyday.
The reason I let him go home by schoolbus is he has to get use to sitting on car even he go to pinic someday.

Do you know any other primary school usually takes SJC student?

Really?  Still vomiting everyday?     Then it will be the best for you to drive him la.  And it's good that you are a full time mom.

Owin started to go school by school bus.

After the missing bus issue, originally, I decided to let his mother to drive him school every morning as she is also a full time mom.  However, when I ask Owin, he clearly tell me 'I love school bus'.  So, finally, I let him go.

Tonight, I re-try to ask him, 'Do u want me to drive you to school tmr?', he keep on saying that he like school bus.... 無佢收  

I think let him to take school bus has another advantage that he can make more friendship as he can play with other classmates during travelling.
