Hi candytl,

My daughter sits very little on the stool too.  How about adjusting the stool a bit lower ? It's OK if the upper and lower arms are almost 90degree to the keyboard when she sits.

For the competition, I see that they do not allocate the order according to number.

You may notice that many pianist, especially young ones, only sit on the edge of the piano stool.  The feet support the body and sometimes they even play on their feet to use the force of the whole body to express strong sound.

唔使咁擔心喎, 我囡囡兩年前(6歲)走去參加5級校際, 彈首lyrical waltz都係差唔多要企係度彈架, 只係個pat pat 旁住椅邊踩pedal, 我仲聽到d大哥哥,姐姐話 : 佢都踩pedal ? 我都驚佢旁唔穩架, 不過佢又有佢辦法喎, 彈完首歌都無乜問題.

你說得對, 有時睇演湊會見到彈湊者整個胳膊,肩膀,上身,腰部,仲有雙腳的支撐，都要很好的配合至得.

叻鬼咩, 呢兩年好似無進步咁, 可能係體型問題, 自從個年比賽完轉左老師, 個老師就主力培養佢既音樂感, 無特別訓練佢既鋼琴技巧,到而家又幫佢搵過另一個
我囡囡今年主力會放係小提琴度(4或5級), 而且又岩岩轉左鋼琴老師, 老師講左唔想囡囡參加校際, 但囡囡堅持話要參加, 所以佢自己選左G.5, 佢話自己練喎, 又比佢試下, 睇下練左d乜野出黎先, 佢個年有老師教就攞82分, 睇下無老師教會點先.

主動就唔講得架喇, 平時練習都係馬馬虎虎, 佢跟過咁多個老師, 差唔多咁多個都覺得佢平日上堂都係彈到錯漏百出, 次次都唔同錯既地方, 平時叫彈一次暢順既黎聽下都好難, 但係每次出去比賽又另一回事, d老師都覺得奇怪, 我地都無乜辦法, 而家都係比佢自由發揮多, 因為家中(甚至家族)沒有音樂人, 而家個新鋼琴老師直情同我地講唔好迫佢練琴, 個老師話囡囡彈琴既問題都唔會同我地講, 我地只係知道老師同囡協議左每日要彈半個小時, 可以分兩次15分鐘, 其他就真係唔知喇. 老師每次見到我地都叫我地唔好迫佢, 諗起都好好笑, 而家只有期望囡囡培養出音樂既興趣和熱誠.

你太過獎喇, 佢今年報左4級和5級小提琴, 係呀, 佢今年8歲,岩岩學左小提琴兩年, 報兩級係主要因為呢排老師唔得閒教囡囡, 而學校又話今個星期deadline, 本來老師叫佢報4級, 但囡囡又話鍾意5級首歌, 所以就幫佢報晒兩級先, 可能佢舊年3級小提琴攞到第3名, 同埋今年佢做左學校樂團首席,佢比較有成就感, 而家就鍾意小提琴多d, 不過而家都幾頭痛, 佢個老師差唔多平均2星期先上到一堂, 下星期又要考4級試, 舊年幫佢報入左音統既小提琴班, 諗住平平地多個老師幫下佢, 但始終初班好參差, 老師又唔會照顧到咁多…….所以講起上來都有d遺憾, 屋企afford唔到搵d乜野名師比佢, 我地只可以睇多d音樂參考書幫下佢, 不過始唔係音樂人, 到某個level就幫佢唔到. 但我地有個咁既女都好開心架喇.

咁多位唔知有冇留意到通利臨時決定會加多一場第二輪鋼琴初賽, 日子係10月21日, 10月6日會有第一輪初賽結果, 希望各位 D 仔仔囡囡都可以順利過關....

校際的級別比賽中, 好像每個參賽者只可參加同類樂器的其中一個組別, 比如:鋼琴如你選第四級, 你便不可同時報第五級, 但你可報第五級的小提琴.  不知有否誤會你的意思, 又或小提琴有別於鋼琴組別呢? 我想你最好去校際網站查一查.

Hi,

How's the 初賽 of your kids ?

My daughter does not have enough time to learn the three songs really well and she can only play one song by memory.  She really has to read the score of the newest song and made a couple of mistakes in the performance.  Just hope that she will be lucky enough to enter the semi-final.  I guess there are about 200 candidates for the Grade 5 competition ?  But they will not disclose how many can proceed to semi-final.

So how your kids' experience in the first round ?

我囡囡3首歌都係睇譜, 真中有一首可能緊張"凹"咗一個音, 總體黎講同平時練時差不多.
我都估計有百幾二百人参加Gr. 5, 過日見開4間房, 以8個鐘平均每人用10分鐘計, 也差無幾.

The other 3 candidates of my group played OK (usual standard for taking exams) but not really 'pro' and there were two absentees.  We almost became the third absentee as my daugther played terribly the night before.  But on the morning of the competition, she suddenly turned normal and so we attended the competition.  She made some mistakes but seemed still satisfied with her own performance.  Anyway, no high hope on the outcome.  Yet I am amazed that she has confidence in herself.        She even commented that I was too nervous and told me that she enjoyed the competition.
