hi mission,
Can I have your suggestion? My son has 20 marks, first born and catholic. I live in district 40. Should I choose Yau Tin (old or new) in the first round as we have 20 marks? and choose Ying Wa for the second round? What is the different between the 2 Yau Tin? Is it Old Yau TIn is acaedmically stronger and more traditional? Which one is better?
Thanks a lot!
Hi sixcats,
Whether you choose YMT catholic primary school in 1st round depends on whether you prefer YMT catholic primary school to other schools (such as Ying Wa). 20 marks is a "minimum charge" for most favourite schools and with this mark it depends on luck (need to draw) as well.
I have asked the same question (which Yau Tin is better?) before in this forum too. Academically speaking, I don't think the two YMT catholic primary schools differs much. Their band1/band2/band3 ratios of graduates are more or less the same ~5x%/3x%/1x%. However the new Yau Tin have better school complex and facilities for sure.
