Planned capacity of R2 is 30 for am and 30 for pm.
Planned capacity of P1 is 70.
So you may thing how difficult a kid goes to P1 of ICS from outside.

If it is not correct, everybody pls. update it accordingly.

I'm in a similar situation as Skytower. My girl is studying at ESF Tsing Yi K1 and have applied for ICS P.1 2007. I'm also worried that it would be quite difficult to get in. Just called the kinder section, they said that there are still 1-2 seats available for 2006 R2. Actually my girl will have quite a high chance to get in ESF primary. However I hope she can study in a Christian school.

To be honest,
We love ICS very much! Before birth of my son, we had noted this school. Thanks God! He leads my son to study there. It is a christian international school with good academic and spiritual developments.
We want our son to have holistic development rather than just academic develpment.
Lenglengma gave us a good point that IB is just a curriculum but SAT is a public exam. So we don't need to make a comparison in them. However, SAT score is very important if our kids will go to study in North America. Regarding the past SAT score obtained by the ICS G12 students, the score is higher than average of SAT score (whole world). As lenglengma said, there is AP provided by ICS. It is definitely an advantage. I can't see any main-streamed band 1 schools that can help their students to study comparable modules in degree level.

If anyone have similar thinking as me before, I think that you don't worry about IB or SAT, main-streamed school or international school. It is important that ICS can make more rooms to develop our kids.

Dear tommyzoe,
In fact, I once compared the SAT scores of ICS G12 students with the SAT scores in the state of California.  ICS SAT combined score ranks #13 in the state of California!  So..think about it this way, studying in ICS is pretty much like studying in the states.  We don't have to worry about SAT's, AP's etc...they just get those from school directly.  Plus, ICS students have high academic standards than the best high schools in California.

Dear heratang,
If you really want you kid to study in an International Christian school...I think ICS is the only choice.  There is another Christian international school in Kowloon, but I heard the standard is not too good and their system/curriculum is Canadian.  ICS does provide good hollistic and academic standards for children.  What I also really like is their art, music and sports departments.  I could also feel the warmth and loving atmosphere at ICS.
ICS also have a very close teacher/parent communication.  Children there are more caring.  I also know that some teachers pray for every children before class starts.
I know a couple of ICS teachers (they are my friends) and they are super nice.

Hi all,

I just want to remind one thing to the parents who want to send their children to ICS Kinder in the coming years that there's no reception class will be move to new campus (at least in a foreseeable future).  R1 & R2 will remain in Fotan.

The whole school will move into their new campus in ShekMun in 2007, but not R1 and R2.  However, I heard that they will probably move their kindergarten section near their new campus also.
