i mean it;s my experience last year, my kid is study in DBSPD now
open day ----22 January 2006 (sunday) 12-5pm
i think it;s open for public

i think not only DBSPD , all of the school must wellcome if the kid has special talent

For all:
Somone say  that  can not afford if DBSPD offer the seat to their kid
Don;t worry about that, because one of my friend the y only had $15000 income ,  school social worker  can help to reduce the school fee
So if  the school really offer the seat to your kid , don;t give up

I agreed with DBboy, I am old boy as well but my son also not accepted as I am also agreed that his performance is bad during second interview. Even I understand that the bad performance was due to his medication in the early morning for the eye disease.

I accepted this result and would like to have him in DBS since I love my school and would like my son can enjoy as well.

Dear Parents

I trust that the parents at BK can make up their own mind about the school and I thank all those who voiced their support for the school.

The event is scheduled to start at 12 noon on 22nd January.  Parents do not need an invitation but be prepared that this event may also be of a fund-raising nature.  Whilst the school have not requested anyone or organisation to make any arrangements to attend the event, I have invited a group of friends to go there early and I will conduct a private sharing session with them.  My motive is to help new parents understand the school to make its operation more effective.  This is a little part that I can do for my school.

This is a New Year Fair and you may expect some fund-raising elements.  However, no one will be asked to buy anything or buy any tickets if they don't want to.

The school is situate on a large site and still needs books in the library, equipment and funds for all kinds of worthwhile purpose.

Looking forward to see all of you there :)

I received an email from a friend telling me that there is a seminar on Saturday organised by KinderU on P.1 Admission. They had around 10 students admitted into DBSPD in 2006/07.

DBBoy,
I sent you a PM a couple days ago but haven't yet received your reply. Am I correct to say that what you posted this morning has already included everything I need to know about the Open Day on 22/1? Is this an event catered for new parents (whose children have been accepted for 06/07) only? My son is only in K1 but I would like to understand more about the school. Is this an event that I should attend? Thanks.

I know you are a great mom and the school is one of the best. Regarding to "special talent", I can't go further to elaborate here. Otherwise, I'll receive many of these :

Maybe I should say that the students' English level is very high. Many P.1 students can read Harry Potter ....

It's good to trust yourself and I believe that it is the best way to nurture our kids.

Just like KatieMa said, everything here is just part of the story.
