Dear Boris,

It is not true that most of the students will promote to 陳樹渠. what as i know, they promoted to diff secodary sch from the very famous ,popular sch to common sch.

but what i heard is the CCS student's advantage in the interview for secondary sch is they are full of confidence, they have their own mind in thinking and act positively.

Although the info. about 陳樹渠 is not raised by me in fact, I do interest in knowing the secondary schools graduates from CCS promoted (best with figures and I know from the briefing that there *are* students promoted to certain good schools but the number of them was still kept secret).  Do you know the performance (in secondary school) of graduates from CCS?

I agreed with Boris.  Why the number of them was still kept secret?  For those private primary schools nearby, they would show how many went to the very famous, popular sch to common sch.  I don't think it should be a secret issue unless the result is not so satisfactory.  As parent, I think, it is acceptable that some students, even in the same school, may not be good in academic, but if they can give us the full picture, it can allow us to make our judgement / "adjustment".

The "picture" shown in the briefing session can only allow us to guess "there are only 20 top students can go to famous schools!  How about the rest, app. 100?  All go to overseas education?  International schools? 直資?  Or.....those cannot be listed?"

Could you give us some ideas?

學校對個別有特殊學習需要的學生接立嗎?

Hi, Jennyma,

I also share the same worries with you and there seemed to be some uncertainties in terms of the secondary school allocation result.  Anyway, I trust that the Principal would have the ability to do something further under her superb management.  What my reservations now are mainly on the teachers since quite a number of them are rather junior in terms of experience and educational attainment.

我覺得上次briefing+見小朋友已算係in左。聽莫校長之前面見我和小女的語氣，未必再有interview。不過我唔敢肯定，最好問問已經有子女在此校就讀的家長。

There should be no more interview for parents after the briefing according to my past experience.  My daughter is now studying P.2 at this school.  She likes the school very much and her language ability is quite good.

Hi, Charlesleungsc,

would you please share more about the teachers with us?  Are they capable despite junior in terms of experience?  On the other hand, do you know why the school fee is relatively more expensive?  Is it spent on facilities or equipment for the school or the after-school activities?

Did you apply other schools for your child 2/3 years ago?  Why did you choose CCS over other schools offered a place to your child?

As observed by my wife, who is a secondary school teacher, teachers of CCS are quite good in teaching.  For example, the Chinese teacher of my daughter is so careful and serious in correcting the writing of my daughter.  Some common ppl's mistakes can also be pointed by the teacher.  My wife is so impressed by that.  Their teacher and students ratio is also much higher than other government/subsdiy schools.  That may be reason of the expensive school fee (actually, it is reasonable).  The Englsih teacher of my daughter is also very nice and she only speaks Englsih in the lesson (as seen by my wife during 觀課).  

The school cook the meals for students and the manual is very nice with soup and fruit every day ($26 per meal). They sometimes even provide 老火湯.  

For the activities after school, charges are reasonable and school bus can be arranged for students attending activities after school that can save much of parents' trouble for arranging transport.

The principal of CCS, 莫鳳儀 is so caring to student and she is the cureent 香港傑出青年協會主席.  She greet every student at the school entrance every morning.   

As my daughter studied in 啟思幼稚園, so I only apply for CCS for her and have not applied for other school.

It is very nice to see one more parent to share the merits of CCS.  Indeed, we have no reservation about the quality and how devoted both headmaster and teachers are.  We also set CCS as first priority. However, there is only 1 barrier for us to make up our mind. It is what are the secondary schools the graduates being promoted?
