加拿大大學會根據申請人高中課程調教分數要求，例如，IB申請UBC的成功率為73％，但BC高中文憑（Dogwood Diploma）的錄取率為50％。 所以，IB雖然有難度，但申請加拿大大學成功率高，申請人更會得到1學期到1年的大學學分。

2. 我就讀香港名校，但成績差，我哥哥Band 2學校讀書，但成績名列前矛。加拿大大學會根據香港中學排名，調整收分？
不會的，香港市場這麼小，而且加拿大大學招生一向本土優先，加拿大大學是不會費勁去了解全香港中學評分標準。

其實band 1,band 2到最後都是看DSE成績！Band 2校內成績再好，考不到DSE 24分，最有都是無加拿大大學offer!  當然，band 1校內成績都要有level 3才可以有加拿大大學的conditional offer,有conditional offer才有機會present DSE給加拿大大學。

Band 1同學校內成績沒有level 3，可能要考慮

Arida說90年代，您校內成績70分就考上UBC，2000年代要近90分才考上UBC， 20年後，有90分的學生都太多了，加拿大大學要靠personal essay或視像面試篩選學生！所以，personal essay或視像面試是有真是需要，不是假大空！

加拿大college課程請留意！加拿大college從來都是本地人優先，如果課程的本地需求供不應求，它們是不會開放給國際生的。您在網站看到的加拿大college課程不一定開放給國際生，舉例：trades（學徒課程）、practical nursing很多加拿大college已經不對國際生開放招生。

• 有Post-Secondary和Post Graduate / Post Baccalaureate兩種,適合需要在職培訓的同學。
• 加拿大college Certificate課程讀完有1年PGWP（Post Graduate Work Permit），有可能對於想到加拿大讀書移民的同學是太短，因為
  
  • 聯邦政府的Express Entry Canadian Experience Class移民計劃需要1年的加拿大工作經驗 + 6個月的時間處理加拿大移民申請
  • 如果您選擇到BC colleges或Alberta Colleges讀書，讀完只要有NOC 0, A, B job offer就可以直接申請BC PNP或AlNP (Alberta)，9個月內能處到申請，不需要work experience。所以，如果您選擇BC或Alberta colleges, 又想讀書移民加拿大，1年certificate附帶的1年PGWP是夠用的。

可以，視乎什麼加拿大大學的什麼主修。加拿大大學的engineering, nursing很多時候需要特定的Year 1科目，香港副學士一般未能滿足水平，不建議申請。

文科副學士Associate of Arts一般要求
2年課程合計60 個學分（大約20 門課程），其中 18 個學分（大約6 門課程）是大二的文科課程，這6門課來自2個或以上的學科領域。

具體要求
A. 一年級英語共 6個學分（即 2 門課程）； 和

B. 科學相關的9 個學分（即 3 門課程），其中至少包括：

3種方法把學分從Alberta colleges的學分轉到Alberta大學
1. Course to Course: Alberta政府有網站讓您做Course to Course mapping。如果您想知道您在Alberta college選修的科目是否能轉到省內大學及轉到省內大學的哪一科？請查Transfer Alberta
2. Block Transfer：透過block transfer，您可以把您在Alberta college的學分帶到一系列Alberta 大學的學分。
3. Program轉學分：需要您在Alberta college修指定學分，然後銜接到大學的相關主修。以下Alberta college課程可以把整個Program的學分轉到大學的相關主修：

• Biological Sciences
• Engineering (one year program only)
• Nursing
• Education
• Kinesiology/Physical Education
  

工程轉學分加拿大讀工程學需要高中化學、物理、微積分（即 M2）和英語。 即使您在Alberta colleges修讀工程也需要這些高中選修科及格。

如何得到Post Graduate Work Permit（PGWP）或PGWP video:

• PGWP的時限為8個月至3年，通常取決於您在加拿大的學習時間。
  
  
  • 如果您持有加拿大Masters或Diploma, 一般也會獲得3年PGWP，就算您的學位只投入2年時間。
  • 如果您把學習時間壓縮，您仍然獲得應有時限的PGWP，舉例：1年完成兩年加拿大Masters，您會得到2年PGWP，不是1年PGWP，因為碩士本來就需要兩年。
  • 如果您在加拿大課程之前讀過半年英語輔導班（ESL），您仍然只會得到2年PGWP，因為ESL不屬於加拿大課程。
  • 任何帶薪實習或交換生計劃，只要您在加拿大院校獲得學分，就將會計入您PGWP的時限。所以，您的加拿大college課程沒有強制實習，您自己透過學校安排半年實習，延遲畢業，您仍然只會得到2年PGWP。

為什麼PGWP可以讓當地僱主無後顧之憂的聘用您?對於僱用PGWP持有者的加拿大僱主，他們不必進行Labor Market Impact Assessment（LMIA）！ 這種豁免意味著僱主不必向政府證明招聘當地加拿大公民或永久居民擔任您的職位困難，從而需要聘用外勞，因為您持有PGWP就不是外勞！

PGWP並不會限制您需要再您讀書的省份工作。 因此，您可以在加拿大任何一個省份找工作，只要

• 有12個月的工作經驗就可以透過加拿大聯邦政府的Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS)系統，提出 Canadian Experience Class的入籍申請。
• 同時可以在您工作的省份申請PNP移民。某些省份如Alberta、Saskatchewan, 只需6個月的當地工作經驗, Ontario International Student Stream和BC PNP International Graduate Stream無須工作經驗，只要有job offer, 就可以透過省政府的PNP申請入籍提名。

一般省PNP移民比聯邦政府的Express Entry慢，所以，可以先申請PNP移民，待工作經驗夠，再申請聯邦政府的Canadian Experience Class。

加拿大讀書常見問題
1. 加拿大PGWP有沒有規範國際畢業生可以做什麼類型的工作？
沒有，但如果要申請加拿大移民，一般需要NOC 0,A,B類型的工作。加拿大政府把不同行業的職位劃分成不同類型，加拿大Masters加上當地工作經驗有機會申請NOC 0的專業類工作，加拿大Masters畢業有機會申請 NOC A類的經理類工作，加拿大college或加拿大大學畢業一般可以找到NOC B類工作

2. 是不是就讀加拿大政府認可的學校，讀完就可以有PGWP？
不是，加拿大政府認可可以招國際生的學校叫Designated Learning Institution (DLI), DLI可以沒有符合PGWP的課程。您讀完這些沒有PGWP課程的DLI，加拿大僱主要聘用您是需要必須通過LMIA（Labor Market Impact Assessment），要走LMIA就和直接從香港請外勞是沒分別的！所以如果讀沒有符合PGWP課程的DLI就等於白讀，學費用了，又沒有讓您更容易移民加拿大！

根據BCCAT的統計，從BC Colleges銜接到大學的同學比直接考入大學的同學畢業成績相近，某些學科前者的成績甚至更好，所以，從社區學院銜接大學是認可及有效裝備學生讀大學及降低教育成本的做法。

更有趣的是，大約70％的同學從BC Colleges銜接到大學可以4年內畢業，但直接考入BC省大學的學生只有60%會於4年內完成學位。

1. 除了銜接大學數據，我們如何選擇BC Colleges?
BC Colleges有2所位於RNIP社區，同學在以下的BC Colleges修讀2年課程，畢業2年內找到社區需要的工作，就可以透過RNIP申請移民。

2. 我在社區學院的成績及格但沒有達到個BC省大學的要求，怎麼辦？
方法有2個：
1. 去其他成績要求比較有彈性的BC省大學，甚至考慮在讀的BC College有否適合的本科可以接受您現有學分？
2. 額外修學分或重讀某些學分來提高成績：

• 同學最多只能從BC colleges銜接60個學分到BC省的大學，所以，如果您多讀3個學分，低分的一科就不會算在銜接大學的GPA內；
• 我該重讀某一科還是修另外的學分就視乎您沒讀好的科是主修的core requirement還是electives。Core requirement就一定是重讀，否則可以另修學分。
  

2個方案比較，方案2需時較多，如果需要重讀的科數超過5科才可以對GPA有顯著提升，您又想避免延遲畢業，方案1的做法比較實際。當然，更實際是在讀社區學院期間好好管理自己成績。

3. 我想轉到UBC，但每年要有成千Year 3 Drop out才有位接收BC colleges的銜接學生？
這完全是謬誤！UBC Deputy Registrar Andrew Arida表示它們接收社區學院的學生是因為它們制度上允許， UBC每年都有25%的新生是從BC colleges銜接過去的，有沒有人Drop out都是這個數！

好奇問，點解未有學校收，也有學簽？佢父母是否工簽去加拿大 ?

以我理解, 如果係公立中學 (Public School), 有機會係 School Board 出 official Letter of acceptance (LOA) 取錄香港學生先, 香港學生用 LOA 申請 study visa 但仍未知會入讀邊間學校, 當學生去到加拿大時, 要去 School Board 指定地方做英文評估, 以英文評估成績才作最後分配中學.

經過一段時間深入研究 2 年 Diploma / Associate Degree 課程, 暫時仍然想孩子行 Stream A 2026年8月前畢業取加拿大PR 嘅途徑

而最近 (今個月), 我及孩子暫時鎖定 BC 省嘅 2年 Associate Degree 課程 : 1) Associate of Arts Degree; 2) Associate of Science Degree, 因這課程係BC省 "guaranteed" 必定可以credit transfer 60 credits (豁免 year 1 & 2 學分) 可以直接銜接指定BC 省大學 e.g. University of British Columbia (UBC) 或 Simon Fraser University (SFU) 或 University of Victoria Year 3.
