I am actually facing the same problem now . I was thinking I can manage to arrange him to study both , but guess it's too tough for a 3 yrs old kid to running around two diff. locations which are not close to each other, and without the nap time I trust that my son could be so tired and unwilling to concentrate in school. I am happy to know that teachers in ESF is good , may I know which campus are your kid in now? I am still struggling whether ESF in syllabus is too easy...
And may i know anyone had the experience your kid finally swap into LS after 2 yrs of IS kinder? How did they manage and adapt to the new syllabus?

I am also struggling if I can arrange like yours. May I know if u drive him to schools , and prepare everything and eat in the car?? I am not sure which campus are you in, guess that it takes at least 30 mins to Kln Tong St. cat. right??

U had make decision to choose IS, why do you want to put ur son in local school ? Just for Chinese ? Sometimes 1+1 may not equal to 2.

I was just in a similar situation, but for me, it was ESF vs Vic.

After a long struggle, I finally chose ESF and gave up Victoria.

If you have this mindset, better to focus in local school. Early years in Intl school esp kindergarten would disappoint you in terms of "effectiveness" especially you would have direct comparison with the local one.
Anyway, I notice parents with such arrangements might fit better in local school

I know a few kids with this arrangement (ESF+ SC/Vic/KV) they all finally just end up in ESF.

Just my personal sharing:
As a working parent I really don’t have time to arrange home-based learning for my kid after his AM session in an IS kindy. In the end, I send him to tuition classes 3 days a week (two of them are extended programs from the school) since K2. The money sums up to be two-thirds of a local kindy’s price. So if there is a happy kindy really close to home and you can join at the age of 4 (when nap is not necessary), not a bad choice for a single kid who may just get bored at home in the afternoon. For me, I’ll quit once I got offer from IS or if I think the homework is too demanding

Thank you so much for all the suggestions. I'm also worried that my kid will bored at home in the pm time, and my helper also need to look after another new born baby. But guess it's too harsh for a 3 yrs old boy goes to two diff. schools everyday, I may just let him to study in ESF , and then attend other activity groups few times a week which is better .

I think for a 3 years old kids , this is better to choose one school and after school
Choose one sport to focused , my daughters start doing rhythmic gymnastics at 4 since then she develops a very strong mindset and strong body , not recommend for such young kids too much in academic , When they grow older , develop their interest in Chinese cultural and language
