I have the same views as yours about role modelling for students and staff's attitudes towards parents.  Six months ago, I mentioned the behaviour of the door guard of that kindy in the related thread and many parents felt the same way.  However, when I read the chatroom about that kindy, its parents all said the principal and staff are nice and caring people.  I talked to myself, "well, because I was not on the same boat, that's why ..."  Then I thought of my hubby's words over and over, my fire was put down quickly.  If someone asks me about that kindy, I still say it's a good one.

I should be grateful for your info about the "one dragon" matter and its present situation.  It really helps us think carefully.  Honestly speaking, my hubby is an old boy of its secondary school and he also thinks the school (secondary) is not as good as in the past.  His feeling must be stronger than you and me.  He always teases me that the school may be a Band 2 school whenever I ask him.

Sorry for saying so much garbage.  Anyway, your boy is accepted by the school, right?  That means he is very smart la!  Even you give up the schoo'ls seat, I'm sure he will do well in any school.

聖保羅書院小學校長陳慕珍認為，家長只要清楚填妥報名表，及提交校方要求的文件，便毋須額外附上小孩的個人檔案。她說﹕「我印象中獲取錄的小朋友中，大部分並沒有提交個人檔案。」

不過，若家長很想遞交孩子的獎狀及其他資料，校方亦不會拒絕，但未必一定能增加入學機會。

She didn't say "I hate portfolio, portfolio makes me mad."
It is not a problem of her policy, it is a problem of her manners.  After the interview, my wife and me have decided that no matter what the result will be, we won't let my son study in this school, no way.

Besides, I have heard some bad experiences from some parents with kids studying in this school. I don't have any solid evidence so I am not going to tell.

Parents who wants to defend this school should tell us why this school is so good.  Being rude one time doesn't mean she is no good. There is no point to focus on this portfolio issue.

I just want to talk about the "through train" between St. Paul's College Primary School and St. Paul's College. I understand that there is no such "through train". However, as I learn from the information of EMB, there are about 90 placements in each level in the primary school. If St. Paul's College commits to offer about 70 F.1 placements to the primary school, it seems that over 70% of P.6 pupils in the primary school will enter St. Paul's College. Can anyone correct me if I make mistake? Thank you.
