You can use the above information and check the information provided by EDB on the school net which borrow seats from other nets.  The list of schools which they borrow the seats from are listed schools of own net, with different school codes on the first two digits.

Actually I have talked about this many times, this mis-understanding was caused by the incorrect interpretation by many sources.

It's good that you refer to the example of St. Mary's, as their discretionary places stage result is still remaining online in their web site.

As you can count from the list (just copy and paste into any spreadsheet program like MS Excel), there are only 50 candidates accepted for this year's discretionary places stage.  So, obviously this is all they have accepted, 50 students only.

The 3 places which were PROPOSED to be taken out from central allocation was reserved for 留班, so there are no 世襲超收.

Actually you raised a good question.  To start with, all these schools are allowed to reserve the maximum of one seat per class for the purpose of 留班.

If parents pay attention to the data provided by EDB, the column heading is the "Provisional Number of Places for Central Allocation".  So, the school itself has not decided the number of places they require for such purpose.  Ideally they would notify EDB such requirement by March and here goes the lucky draw......

Can have both.  

父母舊生 cannot be used together with first born, so that 5 points will be wasted.

謝謝回覆, 另外還有個計分疑問,  如果有小朋友今年(2013)9月讀K3, 而亞哥/家姐今年9月讀P6, 想問K3小朋友9月報亞哥/家姐間小學, 算唔算係「世襲生」呢? 因到時升P1後, 亞哥/家姐已升中一....

To the best of my knowledge, yes, it still counts.  Since it bases on the application time, not the admission time for this.
