Thanks for your thoughtfulness and many best wishes to you and your family in the New Year.

Certainly it must be great to play golf in Bangkok and Huahin.

At first we planned to bring our son to stay a few days in Mission Hill but we changed our plan at the last moment.

Tomorrow my husband will bring my son to Kau Sai to take the second field training of five holes. My son was so excited with his first field training last week. The weather now is actually nice playing golf.

星期二和三共去了兩天Kau Sai Chau陪阿仔打 KSC Junior 2-Day Qualifier Competition，共有31位小朋友參加，最少的是8歲，最大的都16-7歲了，他們都打紅tee比賽，不過我相信有些較大的平時都已不是打紅tee了！

I heard that the tee time of the competition was very early. I suppose you may have to take the first ferry.

The tee off time for my son was after 9:00 in both days.  So we didn't need to take the first ferry.  On the second day, my son took the ferry by himself as we arrived there just a few minutes before the departure time and I needed to park the car.  So I let him go first and I took the next ferry.

Last week my son went with my husband to Kau Sai to attend course. When he was back, he got all wet. The weather was so bad last week (cold and raining). When I asked him "辛唔辛苦", he answered "訓練當然辛苦喇，唔辛苦點得!" 被佢激死!! He then told me how he played when he took his bath as if he knew much more about golf than me.

I'm thinking whether I should let him take the field course training this week as it would be very cold again! Or should I let him to learn to be a tough player? I just worry that he might catch a cold.

慈母心都會怕小朋友辛苦、著涼。不過學打golf都要準備下雨和凍都要下場打。難得小朋友不怕，不過有時到小朋友稍大，他們又未必肯捱苦，我都有此經驗，如要坐車打球，到時都要跟小朋友講道理。

阿仔月底要在愉景灣打Mcgregor Junior Open，他未打過這個場，可惜我不是member，不可帶他去熟習場地！

Hi,

Haven't chat with you all under this topic for a while. How are you kids going on with golf?

The weather is really not bad in these days. Tomorrow my husband will bring my son to practise golf in Kau Sai early in the morning. The course starts at 9 am and hence they have to wake up early in the morning. This is one of the drawback of Kau Sai.

What is worse is the cold weather tomorrow. Today I bought some new overcoat for my son. Hope he could stay warm and dry tomorrow. Really worry!

我都想等個仔大d比個仔打下golf, 不過我成日有個心理陰影驚會有d盲毛亂打一通 *包括自己個仔 (尤其driving range), 跟住個波打親人, 事關自己比d盲毛打過, both in driving range and green。

仲有, 你話去西貢 "較西周"打, 唔知你同小朋友有冇handicap card, 如果冇, 唔可以去打架, 我好多年前, 只要儲夠5張不同場地標準18洞既score card, 就可以申請, 而家唔知改左去邊度囉啦, 你要問下較西周果邊。 不過呢D係以前既例姐, 而家唔知有冇改。

In fact, last time I played in Kau Sai was already more than 5 years ago. Now I used to play in the Mainland. It is only because my son is taking some courses in Kau Sai that my husband brings him there.

I don't know whether my information is out-dated or not. I think it is around $500 for the 18 holes. Also, you need to pay separately for the ferry. Kau Sai accepts telephone booking of 1 week advance. However, it is not easy to book.

To get more exact information, may be you can phone Kau Sai. Sorry for not being able to give you more details.

Thank you for ur message and sorry for my late response.

The course map should be available when they play.  But some kids had played at least once when the event was held last year.  My son didn't play last year because it was held on his schoold examination day.  Quite a lot of the  junior players are from international schools. But my son is not.

Fortunately, the kids can now have a practice game one day before the competition.  Hope my son can
play well and enjoy the game!

Does anyone know the min. age for joining the junior course at KSC? I checked the web site but did not mention about the age.

officially 6 years old.  But they have "relaxed" the requirements and admit kids under that age for junior swing.

Thanks for your message. Just came back after a short vacation in China during the Easter holidays.  

Tomorrow I'll bring my son to play the practising round in the Discovery Bay.  The MacGregor Junior will be held on 31 March.  I'll also help to be a volunteer marker. I've never done this before.

It seems that you really spend a lot of time with your son and give him much support! Are you a full time mum?

Hi, toffeeli,

I am a full time mum in the sense that I am devoted most of my time on my kid.  Actually I am a working mum.  I need to take 2 days off for the golf tournment.  Sometimes my husband will take the kid to play golf whever he is available.  May be next year my son can go to the Discovery Bay by himself.

We went to northern Guangdong (韶關、珠磯巷、梅關古道、南華寺)last week.  Originally we planned to visit some primary schools and kids in the northern Guangdong villages this Easter.  But my husband wished to go with his mum to Zhaoguan so we changed our schedule.   We didn't play golf this time.

There is a saying that "每個成功男人背後都有個女人". Perhaps, you are the first woman behind your son!

Is the school work of your son heavy? I find some of my friends' children has to stop playing golf whenever they have exams/tests.
