請問KCIS 開始出interview信未？大約幾時開始岀信？多多指教。

Hi Littleho, could you share with me the other international kinder choices?  I am planning the international school path for my son who was born in 2010.  Fo far other than kcis I am not aware of other kundera that have begun accepting applications for 2010 kids.  I am worried that I am missing something important.  Your help would be greatly appreciated!!

Apart from KCIS, I have lodged application forms for SWCK, Starters school, ESF, Anfield, YMCA TST, Kowloon Baptist Christian Kindergarten, Anfield.

You may also consider Cdnis and GSIS which also operate K1 equivalent classes.

Hi LittleHo,

Yes, when I submitted my application to KCIS, I also treated it as back up.  But now KCIS is my first choice ..... haha

I have also applied CDNIS for my girl but I know it is very difficult to get a seat.  Am thinking whether to apply for SIS.

I also heard that SWCK is a very good school but I hope that my girl would learn Chinese.

Thanks for sharing.  So far KCIS is the only k1 that goes by first come first served basis while all other have an interview process that gives all applicants an equal chance to compete for limited space, correct?  I think next year I will definitely go for ESF, SWCK and CDNIS.  For the pre-nursery class I am now considering Sunshine House which just started the bilingual stream in english/mandarin. Hope my son can get in and learn some basic mandarin which will make his life a list easier when he goes on to kinder.

Please check with the application procedure of CDNIS.  I heard that they only accept applications from canadian passport holders, diplomatic family and returning family now.

Really?  Wow that just proves the popularity of CDNIS!  Luckily we do meet one of the 3 criteria that you listed.  If it is true, I am actually happy about it as it will significantly cut the competition down to those who would have received higher priority under the old rule.  I will check into that.  Thanks.

I read that u have applied esf too, do u know approximately when will their interview take place?

For ESF interview, I think it should be around Jan-Mar 2012 depending on their priority system.

Yes, interview on this Thursday. Hope my kid will be accepted.

Thanks. I have prepared for worst case scenario (ie. failed in every single school interview). If it happens, I will let my son to stay in Woodland.

佢好鍾意返pg
所以好希望interview係會唱下歌, 講下故事
玩下玩具
咁我女應該都ok
不過都唔知有冇得in
好似好多人都有優先....

Sorry for the mis-understanding. I mean if your daughter is good in English, her Cantonese skill will not affect whether she will be accepted or not. While my elder son spoke Cantonese at the end of interview, he was accepted. Having said that, it appears that my elder son's classmates are either from Tutor-time, Woodland. One of my elder son's classmates and lunch-mates is from KCS.

Good luck to all of you and your little ones.  Even though it won't be my turn until next year ( if I am lucky enough to get invited to do the interview at all), I am getting excited about the current year competition.

Priority for interview:
Top Priority: Silbling
Second Priority: KCS students

I think it will be less important in upper years (eg. P1). For upper years, they really look into the applicants' English skills.
