I am sorry to say that I think your English pronounciation may not be good enough to teach your daughter correctly.

我不會要求女兒讀音及得上native。我經常看西片、聽BBC、看英文的記錄片。以讀音計,我應該是稱職的。
Firstly, your daughter's phonics techniques may not be good enough. Secondary, ask her to listen to more native speakers' conversation e.g. radio, TV news, movies, etc. Thirdly, you may buy her an electronic dictionary with English pronounciation in case she feels doubt about the correct pronounication.
不是technique的問題,也不是缺乏看西片的問題、也不是沒有電子辭典的問題。事實上她經常看西片、也有一個電子辭典。
我的考慮是,要她看書半句鐘已是不輕的工作量。如果要她自己查讀音,工作量就要增加。我情願和她review一下生字,減輕她的工作量。
Ronald Dahl has written many books and they are very meaningful but not 低B.
她中一的reader是Ronald Dahl的Magic Finger。那時的她很喜歡看,半小時就把書看完。不過最近借了幾本Ronald Dahl,但她對此失卻了興趣,認為太低B。
There are a lot of simplier English fictions that would not be too 低B and can match her psychological age too. For examples, Enid Blyton has written many book series which are suitable for your daughters.
