Attended the interview yesterday and received phone call from the college this afternoon advising me they offer acceptance to my son and need us to confirm by 18 Mar.

Very painful as we still hope to attend interview with Wa Ying on 26 Mar. Hard to decide!

Oh, it's so strange.  They still haven't given the offer to the candidates of the 1st batch 2nd interviewees but you've already got the offer !  Anyway, congratulation to you !

剛剛打電話去了英華問，他們會陸陸續續通知到4月初。我猜想3月11號以後學校從教統局拿到rank order, 然後通知30-40名排名靠前但又沒有得到第一批得到second interview的小朋友再次interview,如interview表現ok，就優先錄取，看來這學校還是蠻重視教統局的全港排名的。

You should be proud of him.  If your son can win a seat out of 1000 candidates in YW, he must be a very smart kid and I'm sure that he will be welcomed by any elite school.

I also got the phone call this afternoon.  The deadline is 18 Mar.  Hard to decide.

點解在5/3 2nd interview的正選生還未通知結果，但咁快就通知取錄候補生呢？

Had asked EDB before, they would not provide the rank order list to DSS schools. DSS schools select the student on their own.

Mr. Lee, the music teacher of YW, did say they had the rank order.

I don't mean to offend you, actually, I just quoted what I had heard from Mr. Lee.  May be the rank order he mentioned is not the official one.  Sorry about that.

剛打電話問過英華，他們確實可以拿到所謂的rank order，當然可能EDB不會主動提供這資料給直資學校。而SPCC的招生規則裡也明確表明EDB 的rank order占25%比重，但從時間上判斷，SPCC挑選面試人選主要參考了5年級校內名次，因那時候還沒出 Rank order，所以，要想報考SPCC，5年級的成績至關重要。
總之，不經過親身的體驗，仔細得研究，你是不會徹底明白這套升中機制的。不由地慨歎：有必要將這規則搞得如此複雜嗎？

以我所知當直資學校或津貼學校收到報名表後會將名單send比EDB,然後EDB會將他們的全港掛名send比學校,唔會淨係比津校唔比直資的,不過各校看重多少,就看他們!

昨晚阿囝話他們上最後一節時,籃球場和足球場,都有小六生在選拔!

yes, after getting feedback/comments from different friends, teacheres, etc., we decided to go for this school.
