St Paul's Coed doesn't have its own kindergarten so it must be St Paul's Convent he is talking about.

My case is similar, not good as expected even study in KV, 3 rejected, 2 waiting, 1 offered, 2 waiting for results.

I think whether accepted or not in P1 admission, mainly depends on interview performance whatever how good your academic report, how many awards you got, how many extra curriculum you study. Even the student who got 1st honor in KV still got waiting from GH only.

Kids' performance are important but may not be the only factor.

Some schools really look at parents' occupation. Knew many cases where the kids are studying at non-famous kindergartens but got admitted to top-tier DSS/ private primary schools.

This is not a fair game to normal parents like me, but a game for the rich people.

mimane, 佢地未教雙位加數，但教緊補減數 e.g. ? + 3 = 8 and 5 + ? = 8 咁 lor

SFA 有考雙位減數, 但阿囡話佢唔識的英文，我諗KV 的英文真係冇St Cat咁好

How about DGSJS?  Did your lovely one get the 2nd offer?  Don't worry and it is very difficult to get 1st honor in KV.  Your daughter should be a smart one and many good schools are waiting fo her.

我仔讀KV,星期一去CKY 2ND IN時,撞到一個讀SC既朋友,佢話佢女性格唔O岩D傳統小學,所以只報左SPCC,DGS,CKY,SMC&GH. 而結果係: DGS + CKY + SMC有2ND IN. SPCC Rej., GH waiting.雖然佢都唔係咁滿意,不過佢都無後悔報咁小.

其實sc既家長,係咪多數都target非傳統小學呢?

Dear Cookiegg,

As the past parents' experience, SC provides both tradition and non-tradition primary schools' basic foundation.
A lot of teachers like to teach those students from SC.

我有教KV 的學生課外活動,  而阿仔係SC 讀,  發覺不少KV 同學選小一會選抽官津, 而不是去考直資/私立,  同SC 的 多數 target 直資不同, 所以家長在K1-K3 投放資源學課外活動時已早已有不同的target, 例如KV 的可能會去公文式操, SC 就參加多D Enopi ..我都識不少SC 的學一些特別一些的活動, 如古詩, 中提琴, 合唱團, 而不是同學術相關的.

同意, 我仔都係咁, 考SFA, 數學應該冇問題, 雙位加減已經響外面學左, 但係英文就, 應該係老師用英文問, 佢出事......

KV 整體真係好好, 只欠英語環境!! 如果計上小一後的適應, 佢就一定SURE WIN.

Just share. My colleague's daughter, a K3 student of SOKA, has been accepted by both SFA and GH!!! The girl joins many PTH speech competitions. Perhaps this helps her perform well in the interviews.

dlmcdlcl, 係呀阿囡話唔知SFA個老師用Eng問咩.我同意你講，KV的小朋友適應小一應該冇咩問題，希望佢大抽獎抽到好學校

emm...都未必既... 我大囝o係kv讀k3.

報SFA時我o地無交porfolio, 因為當時recepton負責check文件既老師話唔收, 佢o地只係收o左學校既成績表副本, 但之後又有parents話當日佢o地有收porfolio... anyway, 之後我o地都無後補任何証書文件等等

最後都收到SFA既offer.  我想, 阿囝真係憑佢o係kv既訓練去完成SFA既interview

而且, 好多時聽番d小學既 interview內容, 阿囝都有o係學校做過或試過, 所以我本人覺得其實kv 教小朋友既野都好貼近現時小學既要求同基本, 而且仲好有系統同一手tim.

我仲好慶幸我細囝都o係kv讀緊k1 tim

我係現在kv家長,
現在還有很多小學未出結果,
真正收幾多就真係唔可以肯定,
但可以話你知,
冇論kv or sc都好,
都係好學校, 唔係kv今年就唔會收6xxx幾張申請表.....
我諗之前d post你都可以睇到kv同sc既理念,
睇下你注重中定英文啦,
而呢2間學校都冇一定話邊間入小學會著數d,
反而出生率高, 競爭大, 另到小學難考左就係一定!
