So many small BB mama sharing here. Let me sharing mine...
My little boy is 0812, I applied 10 schools, now finished interview for 5 and 5 more coming…
1) Creative- the first one; performance is not good, he’s too shy and didn’t answer the teacher’s questions at all. Question is really simple one, like fruit’s name, matching for shape, simple instruction to pick some items…. I’m kind of depressed after interview, so I called the school that I want to change the application from K1 to N1 ( cause I’m quite sure I will get reject letter from K1 application….. ) finally I got acceptance letter for N1, I was happy that at least I get some back up if none of the school accept next year for K1. Looks like they kind of accept big B.
2) York – questions are not difficult but did have some testing on drawing shapes…. I like the way that the teacher handle the interview, very patient and nice guidance….. even though my bb still ignore most of her questions…. Disappointing for bb’s performance but feeling ok for the school.
3) LingLiangchurch – full of people and really crowd, but I quite like their run down. we went through different playing session and finally came to the individual interview session which the teacher showed patience and guidance. Good school (in waiting list…)
4) St. Nicolas – simple individual interview; again my boy just ignore what teacher asked him and keep telling the teacher other topics that he like, like it’s raining outside….. he didn’t point out/ answer the exact questions but did show teacher a concept for what he knows. (We received a letter of acceptance finally.) I believed the teacher evaluated his performance by observation rather than just marked what he exactly response to her instructions….
5) St. Catherine – as what the other mama mentioned; I don’t like their way of interview, just too formal for kids at 2. And I didn’t get what the exact purpose that they want the kids to play individual with the parent sat besides but no communication….. I don’t agreed this is the way to evaluate the kid’s independency….. Honestly speaking, their interview arrangement is very systematic and efficient….
Generally speaking, all the interviews are not difficult for most of the kids in concern of the contents itself.
It’s kind of difficult because the interviews are for kids at age of 2 something which is in fact testing their self control… which is really depends on whether they have a good mood or not at that moment. That’s kind of out of control and mostly likely should be unexpected.
So I keep telling myself : relaxing, smiling, take it easy, it’s a game for me and my little boy only……..
Let’s just try our best……. |
