學校教材-oxford reading tree的程度?

I just found the series "Oxford Story Tree" at Popular and Commercial bookstores.  They don't have ORT series.  The stories are exactly the same as ORT.  Are they the same???

They are similar , the story are exactly the same but still have different :

"Oxford Reading Tree"

• Printed in UK
• Price are higher than "OST"
• Divided into several stages, each stage only 6 books, no workbook
• words and grammar are different

      eg. Book "A new dog" in stage  2
           and compare with"OST level 1"                 
      -Kipper wanted a dog/Kipper wants a dog
      -Everyone wanted a dog/Everyone wants      
       a dog
      -They went to the dog's home/They go to
        the dog's home
      -They looked at the dogs/They look at the   
       dogs
      -Kipper wanted this dog/Kipper wants this dog
      -It was too big/It is too big................
      -They took the dog home/Everyone wants
        this dog. It is so happy

"Oxford story tree"

• Printed in HK
• Price are lower than "ORT"
• Divided into seven levels and graded by

      colour

• Each level have 1 audio CD,6 books and each book has one workbook
• Different Book arrangement are different when compare with "ORT"

      e.g."Red book, Level 1"
           -At school
           -The library
           -The haircut
           -The lost teddy
           -A new dog
           -What a bad dog!
            "ORT Stage 1 Kipper Stories"
           -At school
           -Getting up
           -Look out!
           -The haircut
           -The lost teddy
           -The library

Which Popular bookstore you go , I saw "ORT" in Whampoa branch!!

我諗最大分別係ORT 係 past tense,
而 OST 係 present tense
聽聞OST好似比較啱香港小朋友, 因有workbook等等
我家小朋友只看ORT,
所以都係略知一二,
希望沒說錯

Read At Home有些有分level,
但有些無分level~~
無分level 字比較多, 幾行一頁,
一本一個故事, 可能預家長同小朋友一齊睇
Read At Home 細本些, 方便帶出街看
我覺得故事都幾好, e.g. at the dentist, at the hairdresser

ORT 好似stage 8,9開始,
故事書有次序, 6本書一個故事

看書作教材和看書作閱讀興趣完全是兩回事；
大膽講句；一年閱讀已經可以跑得好遠!
比較其他學校教材無妨；但別人英文水平高亦不單純是教材較深；
個人建議可嘗試多方面題材，找到小朋友的興趣，再選合適書本，自然會愛上閱讀。

唔敢介紹乜野書；我都係一個非常懶o既家長；冇花時間去揀書；細個買左d 2手Oxford-Reading Tree(不同level)讀俾佢聽(for Bed Time Stories反正佢都唔識字)；佢鍾意就讀多幾十次；唔鍾意就放係度封麈；
慢慢佢就會認得d字；又會自己睇番d bb書。然後依家會自己揀書睇(我個女鍾意恐龍(!?)同所有動物)；睇唔明先黎煩我...
除左故事書；Story Box/Adventure Box(圖書館都有)Magazine;Daily 7/10都唔錯；當然程度要求高d；
個人就唔建議看書時逼佢認字；看書由興趣變成學習就冇趣...

Is it a series name? e.g. oxford reading tree?
Magazine daily 7/10圖書館有沒有呀?
還是要自己訂?

我小朋友很多書已可全本自己讀,
但佢唔知是不是細個, 理解力還差一點點,
知唔知怎樣可以令佢更加明白內容?
即一頁3,4行字, 佢可以全部讀晒, 全部生字都識,
但我問佢故事內容, 佢就答唔到重點,
我其實唔係要考佢, 只係想睇下佢明幾多,
若有生字唔識, 我會教佢, 我仲容易知佢程度
但佢全部字都識, 所以先想更深入睇下佢明幾多

去 google "Story Box"睇吓;
香港有得訂:上去www.bayard.com.hk睇吓但係個website慢到死....
兒童圖書館雜誌架見過Adventure Box/Discovery Box...可能有Story Box.
Daily 7/10讀k睇得明都未必有興趣/有時間日日睇；唔日日睇又有d浪費...
明唔明故事內容同講唔講得返出黎好似係兩樣野...
Presentation Skills唔係人人得；如果唔係就唔使俾$學Show and Tell...
當然完全乜都識最好...始終課外書係興趣；拔苗助長只會有反效果...
次次都問我生字；唔識答妳又目露兇光...
我都怕左啦...
只要佢肯自動波睇書，已經跑快好多。
唔使同人比較；俾你k3睇完成套Harry Potter但唔enjoy有何意義?

Thx for your explanation!  Actually, I borrow different levels of ORT from the library just for leisure reading for my daughter.

Hi! 其實英文是種 Phonetic language, 即是如果識 Phonics, 好深的書也讀得出，不過會唔明。

我也中過這個陷阱，曾經 "雄心壯志" 的俾阿仔睇 Geronimos, 最後發現他根本唔明，所以還是轉些淺D睇；

一樣學到 Vocab, sentence structure 簡單些，還更易讓孩子模仿學作句。
