I think the teaching method for both SPCC and DGS are diff. I think it depends on what is your expectation from the kids.

First sorry for this multi-threads. Seems that the web has some problems as I cannot see my threads after my posting.

Regarding to teaching method, DGJS has more school works, dictations, tests. All girls there have to behave more discipline. Also DGJS is an english school.

As for SPCC, it is a chinese primary school. I think the test and dictation will not be as much as DGJS but of course the level of standard has to be high as well. Also apart from academic, SPCC also focused on the development from other areas. In addition, a co-ed school will be much different from a girl school. This impacts their networking later as well.

From my observation to those whom i know are graduated from these two schools, i think SPCC one are more all-rounded. I am not sure if you will feel the same from the school tour and the observation to the current students.

因為囡囡係最後一日第一個見校長 (2nd in)，第二個見o個位小朋友，竟然係前一日去 2nd in DGJS 時，差不多時間見 (一齊o係 waiting room 等)，所以當天早上o係 General Room 相遇，大家都認得對方 !!

之前冇咩參予回應，只係齋睇 (包括早幾年o既 topic)，不過o係幫囡囡去考 co-ed o既過程，真係有好多o野想同大家分享 !!

其實囡囡同 hui916's 囡囡都係差唔多，我o地都o係由元朗搬去大圍，再由大圍搬去 CWB，所以我o地都係第一次做 "香港島" 人 !!

囡囡都冇贏過任何獎項，不過從小就教懂她 "禮貌" 二字 !!

其實我都係一樣，個心一直"籮籮鸞"，最後 check 到四點幾先 ；起身之後，一直 check 至八點九都未有，最後都係返到公司開機先知，唉 !! (其實我都一直有 check / try  http://xxxxxxxxxxxx/xxxxxx/352.pdf，可惜學校真係要等到九時"許"才正式公佈)

Many people who have been waiting for the admissiion letter probably reside in Kowloon/NT. So you have to wait for the website upload. Those live in HK Island should have received the letter last Saturday.

As for my case, at the end of the 2nd interview the headmistress already hinted that my daugther got accepted. But I have been been very anxious until it is confirmed.

I think the admission process is fair and merit-based, not in favor of rich people like other people said.

I submitted my daugther's application almost on the last day as I was told that the chance of getting admitted was so slim, as we were totally unrelated. My daugther did not attend a famous kindergarten either.

It appears that top schools prefer well-educated parents and presentable kids.

I encourage all parents to try your dream school.

SPCC is my dream school.  A lot of my boss's kids are studying there. During the application process, I tried to understand more from them about the school life and the kids' development. The kids from SPCC always give me a pleasant feeling.

I think you may imagine the teaching method to boys should be diff from that to the girls. As regarding to moral education, I think both school would be at the high standard. I have no doubt to this. At SPCC, the learning would be diff with the boy's elements.

However, my daughter failed and did not even get the 2nd in. I think they still pick up kids with some specific quality and I am very glad to the parents here for their kids having this offer. I really hope you all can pick up the school suitable to your kids.

唔係喎，我o地住o係 銅鑼灣，都係星期一先收到信 (都係要上學校網睇)，緊張多 2日，折磨多 2日 !!
