Good Hope: 45 pupils in a class

We are not talking about attention grabbing students; we are talking about those students who need help because  they unable to follow well in class. In this situation, I don't think the teacher will be able to give sufficient assistence/ attention to the students concerned given that there are 45 students in a classroom.  I think the optimum no of students in a class is around 36 just lilke DGJS.

I don't understand why the school does not adjust its school hours after they have changed to a full-day school.  They don't seem to concern about families living far away.

Of course, you would feel a sense of love and enthusiasm during PTA outiing, if you don't, then there must be a big problem with that school.

Yes, there are black sheeps everywhere but most of them are found in Goodhope. Don't ask me why, again it's just rumour>

Just counting the ratio you are absouletly right in this sense. But, it is also relying on the quality of teachers and schools. If the governing policy of school is well-established, it should be less likely happend on what you stated in your comment.

For black sheep, if say so, I have no idea. I may say DGJS, Scared Heart, Heep Yan, St Rosa, Maryknoll, St Mary..... are better. They may not have any black sheep in school.

Why Good Hope class start early at 7:30am because the school arrange all the academic lecture classes conducted in the morning. After lunch, the classes are mainly to guide the pupils to do the home work; tutorial classes; and some sport or leisure activity classes. This arrangement can let the pupils finish most of the home work at school with the guidance of teachers. I think this arrangement is quite good where the children can have more time for other extra-activities after school.

This sounds very positive and reassuring. If kids have to start at 7:30am, they would be exhausted by the time they got home. So if they can finish most of the homework at school by the teachers' guidance, then that's a good thing.

For the 40+ student in one class, my wife told me that it was tradition since she was student at GH.  There was 40+ in one class twenty years ago as well as the timetable.

因為呢個原因, 我放棄申請 (kg). 45 人真係太多啦, 仲要係私校. 雖然佢個 campus 真係好吸引. 我有鄰居讀緊, 看起來都係好乖女文靜的.

去到 tertiary level, 幾百人一班上課常有的事, 但小學我就唔係咁想囉.
