The daughters of these celebrities are in fact very bright and diligent, and in fact they did spend time with the kid in studying. The celebrities should know better than anyone that their "fame" may be an obstacle to get into an elite school (no school wants limelight all the time!), so their children have to prove themselves to be worth choosing.

Ramama, I definitely agree with you!!

They all are smart and diligent.  Actually, I think their "fame" is not benefeical to them as the top school like CCKG/DGS no need to take adventage of their fame to make the school famous.  On the contrary, the headmistress may think their fame might bring worse news to the school too.

I have no doubt their children may be very brilliant, but I also see a lot of brilliant, bright and polite girls around.  I don't really care if their children will be admitted, but I always wish to see games are being played fairly, but I have to admit that in this world, it's hard to see everything is being fairly judged.  Relations, fame, money always allow ppl to have advantages over other ppl, that's the reality as well.  Anyway, in the end, we just hope that we're playing a fair game.

好奇想知DGJS 有無讀高一級半級?  係咪如傳聞中咁"谷" (聽講好多學生細細個已經要全科補習?)?

讀高一級即係小一用小二課本.  讀高半級即係小一上學期用小一下學期既書, 到下學期就用小二上學期既書.

她們學校的英文課本並沒有明確寫明是哪一年級的，每一年都是以故事書為教材，所以就英文方面來說，回答不到妳的問題。我能夠告訴妳的，就是這些小女孩們的英文水平一點兒也不低。
至於其他科目，並沒有出現妳所講的讀高一級或半級的情況。

壓力是家長自己給自己的, 小女孩們(只限我認識的大部份)都過著愉快的校園生活。

as a past student, i think the moment the child enters the room, the headmistress can immediately tell if she's a DG(J)S girl. so parents dont worry that much! i guess what you all really want is to place your children in a suitable school right?

and as for the DGJS 3 "Pearls", i can assure that there are many more girls from even more distinguished families, so i think there's no need to worry if there will be a special "preference"; besides, it's pretty unfair for the 3 innocent girls to bare the biased comments on their individuals solely because of their parents/families.

WOW!  It sounds like she has mystical or divine powers.

Granted DGJS is a top school and all girls are best of best.  And, being a private school SuperHeadMistress can choose whichever selection criteria (e.g. size and angle of nose, distant of gap between the eyes, etc.) she likes.  So why make everyone go through the song and dance of the application, interviews and wait?  Why not just have a room with doors and let the applicants walk through one and out the other.  Decision to offer or not can be instant.   Saves on lots of paper, school resources, parents having take leave, anxious parents, etc.

Oh, thank goodness she is not in the police force otherwise we all would be in trouble!  LOL
