Frankly, it's not a very impressive one, and it's quite tricky that it is the result for 2 years (2006-08). That's really makes me think twice on this school.
That's a good point. But I would wait until our kids are admitted by this school and have other offers in hand at the same time to make the final decision.

I think TSL only became popular among P1 applicants in the past 3-4 years. The recent graduates were admitted when the school just switched to a DSS.
I also heard that their South Asian students generally are not very academically smart compared to the local students, and their secondary school allocation has not been very satisfactory. Having about 20% of those students, the overall allocation data may not look very impressive. It would be interesting to look at the data for the local students alone, but the school may not be willing to release them as they may be accused of "discrimination".
Totally agree with you. It would be good to see how the Chinese Stream perform in the past years......My daughter got into second interview too, but I have reservation about this school, mainly (1) the Secondary School allocation results were not as impressive as expected, (2) I am not sure what is the cultural difference between South Asian Students and our children, not sure if they will bring good or bad influence to each other........????? any one have comments? do you worry the same too??
Overall the Chinese students there are very presentable and confident, at least for those who helped out on their Open Day. Interestingly, if 20% of their students are caucasians (instead of South Asians), I guess nobody would be concerned about the "cultural differences". I believe their South Asian students are mainly from middle class family rather than having their dads working as security guards we see on the street everyday. The well-educated south asians and their kids speak fluent english (although with a strong accent). Some work as NET teachers in all levels of schools. A number of them actually hold high-ranking positions in places like where I work!
In general, however, they don't push their kids as much as chinese parents. This may be why they don't perform as good in the exams.

wow, you are all so knowledgable, I haven't done any research for Secordary School yet. THanks for sharing.
But I was thinking, 6 years later, if I still have to worry about Secondary School allocation, or to prepare my daughter for Secondary School interview (like what we are doing now), and prepare to "KNOCK DOOR", I guess this would be a lot of pressure for both the parent and children.
Would this be one of the reason why the twin mother gave up their seats last year??
