P1 (2008-2009)

Good morning everyone,

Yesterday was Sunday, my girl woke up at 6:30am cause she wanted time pass fast and she can go back to school faster on Monday.

I do not receive any books from her niether. She told me the teacher will give them on next week.

Re the homework, so far no homework at all for my girl. I saw her bring a piece of paper-introduce myself. She asked me to give her a family photo and that's all. She wrote her favorite things on it and draw a family picture at the back.

My god! This morning I forgot to give her the moon festival's laten-They must bring today.

My girl told me that she was 班長 which she need to collect the handbook/notes and assist teacher. I asked her why she have been selected, she told me because she seat well on the chair whole day. And one more kid been selected too.

Yes sometimes she slept deeply in the bus which she don't even remember to get off the bus on the first day . And mine was the big bus, therefore the nanny couldn't realize that she was still in the car as she seat at the back. After the bad experience, from now on, she told me that she will not sleep in the car and try to play or talk with the others to keep herself awake. (But myself think it was not a bad idea to take a nap in the bus, so that when she back home, she will have energie for acitvity)

The principle told us that they will try to move ALL back by then on 2009, Sept, although the other rest facilities are not 100% complete yet.

Dear HeiHeiMa,

Thanks your information. My son said Mr. Chan is funny and he described himself was too old to catch them. He likes Science class and it burns their curiosity to know what was happening. In respect of Maths, it's easy and I think they can do more difficult "additions" or "deductions".

Yes I got similar stuff from my girl.

PE : 玩捉 (I wish I had played the same game in my PE lesson too )

Science : Learn Magnetic Field 磁场, Electrostatics 靜電

Great to see she is happy to school every day...

Hi Yan,

My boy is in 1D. I joined the flag day last Saturday with him and we enjoyed this very much. Have any parents join?

He told me that he is in "Blueberry" group and got 250 marks now. He was in "Banana" group last week. Is the group always change?

My son selected Saxophone. He thought there will be instrustment class on coming Friday. He felt sad once we told him that he only need to start bringing the saxophone next week. For sure, he really want to play that heavy copper. However, we are very worry if he can easily take care the saxophone which is 6KG (including the suitcase).

今日我仔好好唱口, 成日唱住兩首英文歌, 一首有關星期幾, 另一首關於動物叫聲! 仲有其他, 唔太記得佢唱乜!
仲有, 今日好開心, 因為今朝仲話有d驚打針, 放學返o黎佢話冇喊過! 真係要比個佢!
另外, 各位o既小朋友有冇放什物o係櫃桶? eg. 外套, 顏色筆, ....... 其實art要帶咁多o野, 可以長期放o係學校嗎?

My girl told me only 1 kid in 1A class cried, all of the rest are brave and teacher gave them 1 candy at the end after injection.
I don't think they can leave things under the desk, they have to bring home everyday. They don't need to bring the ART things to school only bring on Monday-the Art class.

The school bag for the kids nowaday was super heavy. My son was in P3 now, and the school bag are much heavier then in P1 and P2, poor kids...........................

我仔報料, 佢話如果30日內個個交齊功課(除非病假), 可以全班開party!

My P3 boy learn Clarinet, and within 3 years, he and the other rest classmate played very well. I am glad that he can learn such instructment during his school life. And he enjoyed so much.

Regarding the singing team, the qualifly kids will choice by music teacher (and it was not true if you don't learn instructment and you will be in singing team). Cause most of the kids are learing instructment in this school.

In the end of the year, I remember that kids need to do project in both English and Chinese subject. And during the school year, they also need to hand in some science project as well which gave me headache as I am not good on that. (Ex: they need to make an ant habitat).
In my case, I think parent need to get involve. Because I think is difficult for a P1 kid to search information from the internet and libary by themselves.
