Dear Concertime and Pollychu,

My daughter will finish Alfred's piano library- theory, and Activity and Ear Training Level B (Blue ones) soon. Can you introduce books for follow up in these two aspects?

I have checked the Alfred Premier Series at Tom Lee. But they just have limited stock and not complete series. So where can I buy? Any other good books?

What is the content inside the performance and lesson book?

Is It safe to order from that website in term of using VISA card?

我囡囡依家四歲,之前上過Tom Lee嘅 Music Wonderland 同埋JMC Book 1,依家就什麼都冇上啦,因為打算同佢搵1:1上門單獨學琴.
想請問如果我老公同埋我自己都唔識彈琴,咁點同個囡溫習呀??? 係咪應該儘量同囡囡一塊兒上堂so that 知道佢學了什麼呢??  請指教!!

Yes

What is the content inside the performance and lesson book?
Lesson book is the core of the course. Pieces in Lesson book were arranged in logical order to be used with Theory and Performance book. It contains short passage of sight reading exercise in it too.

Performance book add more pieces to the Lesson book. Student can practice one idea with more different pieces to affirm the concept. But it is optional.

Hm... about safty, I cannot garuntee you this. But It is an active big site and I tend to trust it , at least when i email to them, someone will reply me prompty, I have heard people ordered books from this site, so I think it is ok. I will order things from it soon too (but not so soon). I like it becuase it quote the shipping fee at the first few steps, not like the other web that does not tell me the shipping cost until I fill in the credit card information.

請問你停上Tom Lee的原因是?
我仔仔3歲
現在Tom Lee Music Wonderland6月有位
而柏斯的小小莫扎特都有位
正煩腦該參加那一個
我只想跟他一同上有系統一點的音樂班
藉此培養一下他對音樂的興趣
因為這年紀對聽音好敏感
以及他樂於唱遊
希望各位能給點意見
我自己略懂電子琴 亦有一部電子琴在家

little mozart 同 Music Wonderland
其實真係好多家長來問我這個問題（之前都有回答過）

教授意見如下:

Music Wonderland 那一套教材的教法是以電子琴, 輔以歌唱形式, 以12345手指去教, 不太注重看五線譜註要係學睇 d, r, m, 小朋友可以邊彈邊唱,都學得好開心, 不過不要希望他們會嚴格教你正確手指的形態;因為一班太多學生, 老師未必可以照顧每一個學生,  因好多學生完成了jmc 的課程, 之後跟我學鋼琴課, 她十分喜歡唱歌, 常叫我和她唱歌, 但她的手指是平放彈琴的, 手型好有問題; 當然她不是太會視譜.

柏斯, 小小莫扎特音樂班,  我非常喜歡得那套教材alfred,
令小朋友一步一步學習一些樂理知識和音樂概念, 至於手勢, 老師都會教一點, 但不會過於集中這項因為小朋友會悶,

小朋友只我覺得最重要是引發她們興趣, 否則會令他怕了音樂, 這樣就太可惜了. 一班有一個小朋友, 可以用雙手邊彈邊唱了.
自己個人覺得好似上完little mozart 的小朋友，將來對學習鋼琴進展會比較好．如果小朋友比較喜歡唱歌可以考慮music Wonderland

我諗無論係little mozart定係 music wonderland,
都要係遇到個好老師緊要o的, 我有學生之前有學little mozart, 都有學生之前學music wonderland......
聽返佢地媽咪講, 有o的老師唔太識去控制o的小朋友, 攪到成個街市咁, 都唔知o係度做咩.......

this is not a big problem, if he cannot draw now, then draw later. or give him some exerise that require him him paste the note instead of draw the note or just buy drawing board with big stave, sometimes if the staves are too narrow, it is difficult for them.
Remember the goal of learning piano... we want the music! don't let this minor issue diminish his interest

我同佢講,畫音符呢個係必經既媽咪以前都畫唔小,我會陪住佢一慢畫,問佢唔想畫音符不如唔好學啦好唔好? 佢又話唔好,

Usually, can the teacher teach all the things for Grade 2 examination during a 45 min lesson, including aural, sight reading, scale, exam pieces and extra pieces? How they arrange the time?

To be honest, I found that some piano teachers are not good in time managment.
