  Oh, Yes. I mean Kinston Primary. One of the other BK mum in this topic have told me the name of its connected Secondary School which is Phoenix International School. I don't much about this school , I only know that they are currently running the Canada Ontario Secondary Schools Diploma system because the school belonged to 'Canada Overseas College' in Kln Tong before.

  However, I hv also heard that they are going to change back to British-Based in all their academics after a few yer later when they moved the whole campus to Shatin.

  I havn't got much confident of this school because it is quite new. On the other hand, however, it is run by ESF and so I think the quality of the new sch should be high.

  How old is your son? Is Yew Chung good or not? because I am also considering to apply Yew Chung primary for my daughter but it is very expensive so i want to know if it worths. Also, Do you prefer your son stay in international school in the future or you would rather to switch him back to local English school?
I hv found that the local English primary schoo push lots of pressure to their students.

Yes.  I would also intend to put my kid on Kingston Primary because of its low teach/student ratio.

Sorry, just got back today.  I was reading back your message and may I know how old is your kid?   Is she studying somewhere now?

My son is 16mths now and studying Yew Chung. Yew Chung and its teachers are very good.  He learns a lot there.  Just last month the teacher teach the kids how to make Shepherd pie.  The kids add milk and butter into potatos and mashed them well, then the teacher baked it during the class ,  all the kids share the pie during their tea time.  It is a wonderful experience for my son.
Actually Yew Chung do a lot of details things and make the kid learn base on everyday life.
So the only reason I changed is because they use english and cantonese during the class.  Mandarin will be teached from K2. In Yew Chung primary, their mandarin and chinese class are quite strong among the international school.

So the only difference between Yew Chung and Kingston are Manadrin and Cantonese,  I perfer my kid to start learning both english and mandarin as early age as possible. So he can concentrate on other subjects later on.  This is the only reason I change to Kingston.

I have confident in both Kingston and Yew Chung 's teaching method are good for kid's mental and physical development. The  difference between them are only language.  if you can afford it , it won't be a waste of money.  You will find the reward if you believe local school give too much pressure to the kid.

Will your kid attending Mr Cory's class? That would be great as I like him. But as far as I know that Mr Cory's class was already full. Emily said they are going to arrange one more K1 class but not sure who is the teacher yet.

hi moms, I have questions about the Kingston, since I have applied the 1 year old Playgroup for my daughter, and they said they will arrange an interview for her, does any mom know what kind of questions that they will ask, or what should I prepare for that?

Which class that you applied for, a.m. or p.m.?  I am having interview on  the coming Tuesday morning for p.m. class.  

I am not preparing anything for this since she is really too small to be trained at this stage, right?

Regarding 1-year-old playgroup interview, it's just a kind of orientation for parents, nothing special for the kids.  No worry.
The teachers will explain to parents about the school, and take a tour, that's it.

hi mrsho, I am trying to apply the a.m. class for my girl, but they said the morning  class is quite full, maybe i will put her to the p.m class if there is no choice, and I will let her try 3 days a week first. 希望你bb面試成功

Just gone through all the comments on Kingston, it seems to me that Kingston is an excellent school.  

But may I know the drawnbacks (other than school fees) ????

Hi, moms,
I've decided to send my child to HKPS N1 in the coming term, but I've not yet decided which stream (local vs int'l) should be enrolled.  My plan is to send my child to kinder like St. Catherine instead of int'l kinder when he turns 3, so is it better for my child to enrol HKPS's local N1 stream?  Any ideas from all of you?  Many thanks

其實HKPS既中英文班同國際班既分別, 只係中文方面一個用廣東話, 一個用普通話. 英文方面就冇分別. 所以對你想比佢同本地學校, 兩者都冇問題!
對我嚟講, 囝囝講嘢未算好叻, 所以我就比佢讀中英文班, 唔想佢咁混亂. 到佢大啲, 母語掌握得好啲既時候, 我至比佢轉過去國際班. 而中英文班亦都一樣每日有普通話時間!
