我有套apa 演出制服想廉讓(未著過,全新的,綠色裙,白色長"就"衫),請問你們有興趣嗎? 適合8或9歲小女孩著的

Hi tammylaw,

About the APA junior fashion.  

APA has changed the junior performance uniform for two years already.  The current uniform is a long black skirt or pants, and colourful shirt.  It's free style after meeting these basic criteria.  It's fun seeing the lovely little girls in beautiful dresses (e.g. long and fluffy skirt like those of Scalette in Gone with the Wind or Anna wearing in the King and I, some with lace and pearls and sparkling gems on top).  Some shirts are also tailormade in beautiful colour.  These free style performing uniforms nowaday are really interseting and amazing.

Saturday junior classes in APA is on its own an amazing fashion show of kids - and some girls are party dressing throughout the year.  Very lovely indeed.

I have met many smart kids in APA and they have very outstanding performance both academically and in music.  I think nothing is too difficult for exceptional kids like yours.

Looking forward to listen to your daughter's performance in the pre-junior piano performance class.

其實我女兒從沒學過violin﹐但她一直都很想學﹐我擔心她同時開始學2種樂器﹐會令她兩頭不到岸﹐所以給她先把琴的基礎打好﹐再開始試學violin.她今次考演藝violin是用鋼琴考的。

Piano會緊D, 相信應是Pre-Jounior, 老師亦應已分配了,
有否分別……………….有。
好好分配練習時間, 小學應沒問題, 尤其低班那幾年。

如果佢完全唔識violin而收佢,會唔會係MJ301(Beginner's Course), 而piano係MJ201(Pre junior) 呀?兩個course 收生要求係唔同家。:

Hi,

Don't worry.  There are many casual dressing kids too.  I think that's an arrangement between mum and kids and nothing official.

APA used to permit the pre-junior/junior students to learn a 'minor' instrument at a fee cheaper than the Beginner class, and the minor instrument need not be examined at the end of the year.  You may enquire at the Music Office if they still have the offer.  The minor instrument is also taught by the APA teachers.

I have friends who transfer to the pre-junior couse after taking the Beginner course for one year.  I think it is a worty step to take.  Anyway, it is not really Beginners and the teacher will likely continue from his current level.

Can you share with us how "demanding" the APA class is?  And even pre-junior students are required to attend full day music class on every Sat?

If your friend didn't write the course code wrongly, I think it's better to phone APA and ask clearly of that. Do the prospectus stated they will change the course for the choice we made to suit their vancanies or according to the ability of the child? Your friend can approach Ms Liza Tseng directly at Music office of APA 25848515, she is a nice lady.

係
會好自然側重一面,Piano要輪著出Class.而且個個都係叻仔叻女,必然希望可以被選出Concert,又點可以唔練呢!
Pre-Junior又有Chior又有樂理,絕對不錯.
如有心儀之老師,不妨分配前試問,否則交了學費等分配,如合意記得第一時間安排見老師.

Hi A1,

Not full day class.  Just 1 hour performance class, 1 hour choir and 1 hour musicanship - totally 3 hours on Sat. afternoon.  The 1-hour weekly private tutorial can be on any day as agree with teacher.

Actually junior piano is not too demanding.  Even relaxed students may survive up to 17 years old.  However, it offers good motivation to kids when they listen to each other's performance, learn from each other, and make some lifelong music friends.  It is an enjoyable experience, and good training to be a professional pianist if that is your child's pursuit.

Sorry that I miss that your friend is in a group class.  Private Beginner class should be more effective.  As long as the assigned teacher can afford the time, your friend may ask if he can change to a private Beginner class instead.
