剛剛收到學校電郵，節錄如下:
The ‘game’ is called ‘Sleeper’ and it involves one youngster holding another’s nose and mouth shut until they faint.
Not only is this incredibly dangerous in terms of the physiological effects of a lack of oxygen, but injury from falling is also a major concern. There have also been reports of variations of the game involving young people inflicting suffocation upon themselves, or others pushing hard on the chest or even the throat.
Worryingly, I have received reports that some of our own students are talking about this game and saying that they have already been involved, or that they intend to become involved.
I would ask that you discuss this with your children at home and explain to them the dangers. I have already done so in an assembly at school and made it clear that this ‘game’ is stupid in the extreme and the possible consequences of it are too awful to even contemplate.
