I am happy that I got the fit red coat finally on Monday.  Before that, I just let her put on her own coat (not uniform) going to school.  I asked Joyce if Ms. Chan had said something about her own coat.  She said no.  It's really freezing for the past few days .

Yes, same case as Joyce.  She repeated it again and again......very funny.  She also required me to ask her the questions like "can you sing?", "can you run?" etc.  Then she answered the questions and nodded her head then.

Fu Soen said something about " lavender" and let me smell her little hand, but when I asked her further, she said lavender "sblue"??  Anybody knows what it is...

She was happy yesterday as Ms Lam gave her a Hello Kitty sticker.  She told me 4 of the kids got stickers as they answered questions.

Today Vianca bring 4 X'mas cards to school for her classmates. She can't bring more at once because she can't recognise their name.


One for Cassidy, she can recognise the name starting from "C". And she put a Cinderella sticker on the back for easy identification.

One for Joyce, she try to remember "J" for Joyce "Ngai Wing Yan". She put Snow White sticker on the back.

One for Helen, I taught her to remember the sound of "H" that beginning sound like "hand".  She probably put Ariel sticker. I'm not sure.

Last one for Fu Soen. I taught her to remember the sound of "F" with the mouth like saying "fish".
Not sure if she put Jasmine sticker.

This morning, I asked her whether she can still remember which one is which one. She has a look on the front & then turn to the back, then she can tell the names correctly.

Cassidy's mum, Joyce's mum, Fu Soen's mum, pls tell me later tdy if Vianca did her job properly. If yr girls got the wrong card or no card, I'm sorry! I'll check w/her tonight.


Calix's mum, actually Vianca wanted to write one for Calix last night. But I worried that she would mixed up the name with Cassidy as both start fm "C" so I asked her to do it seperately.

Tonight, we'll prepare the X'mas cards for the boys & the teachers.

I don't know who could get the stickers from Ms. Lam...yet I know Ms. Lam had given out the stickers yesterday as Calix was very disappointed that he couldn't get one from her.

You're really very nice!  I won't tell Calix b4 he gets the X'mas card from Vianca.  Just to let him have a surprise!  Thanks in advance!

Btw, it's a good chance to teach Vianca about phonics, haha...

Calix told me that Ms. Luk (maybe during the music lesson) taught them a "Turtle Dance".  It's funny...just ask you son/daughter to dance for you.

I feel that Ms. Chan is quite easy-going and not that rigid coz some moms from other threads said that their kids' teachers did not allow them to wear winter uniform b4 17 Nov (grace period started).

Thanks, Vianca's mum.  Fu Soen is happy to receive Xmas card.  It's the 1st time she rcv Xmas card,so she does not really know what's for.  I will teach her more abt Xmas.  And I think this is a good way to teach her abt this festival.

She told me when she was playing with Nicholas, Vianca came to WaterMelon Group and gave her Xmas card.  She said she did not say thanks yet.

I will prepare Xmas cards with her so that she is more aware of this festival...thanks Vianca's mum for your idea!

Thanks...Calix loves singing and listening to nursery rhymes very much...that may be the reason he could remember the lyrics clearly.

actually i'm not quite busy these days.. but just lazy hehe... i've read the thread but didnt answer much

firstly, vianca's mom.. thanx for the xmas card... cassidy like that a lot... when she back home.. she told me vianca sent her a gift at once

secondly.. knowing that christmas party is coming.. i'm planning to send her school on that day.... any interest having a breakfast gathering again?? joyce's mom.. wanna join together and send them back school on that day>?? actually i've prepared a small christmas present for all the 1H classmates and i'm afraid it's too heavy for cassidy to bring to school... it would be fun to give her a hand to sending out the gifts

thirdly, finally i know it's lavender,... i heard of the song but cant hear her clearly... just knew they'll bow for the king and queen lyrics

fourthly, for her friday assignments... it's good to see her doing the homework by herself... she likes it  a lot and do very fast... i think she must have many practices at school.. coz when she do the tracing... she always talks talks talks about the 口訣; something like that...

btw calix mom,

remember last time we have breakfast gathering and you told me about the lake (disney's), i'm planning to bring cassidy there but wonder besides paddling boats... is there any playgrounds for children? some slides or swings?

Welcome back!  Same as you, I would like to take Fu Soen to the Sunny Bay Lake as I heard from other mummies but they drove there so they could not tell me how I can go there by train /bus, Camom, pls tell us abt the details...how to go there, what activities are available...thx

Welcome back, Cassidy's Mom!  
Yes, there's a children playground with many facilities which is quite spacious. 

There's also an outdoor fountain (like that one at the Peak/Tung Chung)...many kids enjoy playing with the water and make themselves all wet (but I don't think that's a good idea for cold weather like now).

Apart from pedal boat, family bicycles are also available but remember to make your reservation first when you arrive to avoid disappointment.

There's no restaurant inside the park but a 7-11 for which you can buy drinks, snacks including fish balls, siu mai etc.. 

Fu Soen's Mom, last time we went there by car and therefore not sure about the public transportation.  Here  comes the website for your reference:

The park is really beautiful and clean.  You and your kids should be able to spend a happy day-out there.
