I'm still not too sure about the sex yet, since we can't see that during the last ultra-sound (hubby said that probably she'll be a girl then).  Anyway, I've told Andrew about his sibling, he seems excited, and will talk to my tummy, telling her that he's her brother ... everytime he does this, it makes me laugh       Actually I really hoped that having a second child will bring a good partner to Andrew, and he won't be so bored.

Miss Wong called me yesterday around lunch time, saying that Andrew's Bee costume was too small, may be becoz we put paint on the t-shirt and it shrinked She passed the costume back and asked me to see what we can do with it, since they'll be wearing it for the whole week for activities.  At first we worried that we need to make another one again    Luckily, we made a little alteration and "enlarged" it a little, Andrew can wear that with some techniques    It's really a nightmare making that costume

EllieTo, they will be wearing it for the whole week for activities????  My son is also using an old clothes which doesn't fit him very well....
You can "enlarge" the t-shirt??  That's really a lot of work fo you....

Looks like it's a good start for Andrew as he starts to talk to the little baby now!!

Ellie, it is so lucky that you can alter the T-shirt to fit Andrew otherwise you need to do it again and probably it takes another few hours. Nightmare !!!!

Eugene told me that he had honey toast yesterday at school. He said it was yummy. I can see the school putting a lot of efforts in this Bee project too.

Today I went to the school!!

Excellent!! PM1A was asked to design a flower t-shirt and the children wear the t-shirts and have a catwalk show!! It was very very cute            

And they have the English lesson (with their admirable Miss Mandy) down in the playround for us to see.  

And I saw the photos of the other classes wearing the bee costume as well, really cute.

I like it a lot.

I think everyone enjoy the Parent Observation Day. I can see the school have put a lot of efforts into this event so that every kids & Parents have a wonderful experience.

I am surprised that every class did different thing.For the AM 1B class, we have a role play of Bee instead of Fashion Show. Every bee are so cute.

After this project, my son is really "Bee goes into his body". He keep saying I am the Queen Bee, papa is the Drone and he is the Working Bee, our home is the Beehive. Sometimes he walks in the street, he raises his arms as wings and buzz around.

Before yesterday, my husband was still complaining about the bee project, since he believes the school put too much work on the parents.  But when he found that Andrew can draw a bee quietly by himself while we were having dinner, he was amazed too, and I told him that from what I saw on Friday, children did learn alot from the project.

It's a pity he can't go to the observation day.  I was really impressed how much students can learn through those exercise.  And when I saw the yellow balloons and Lotte chocolate bear biscuits boxes being transformed into bees and bee hives, I'm really amazed with the imagination of the teachers!  Even my in-laws are surprised that Andrew knew what is Queen Bee, Drones and working bees

Miss WONG called me yesterday, saying that our photo taken on picnic had won the 優異獎, she said that prizes will be presented during the Easter Service next Tue.  She invited us to join the Service that day.  If she hadn't call me, I have totally forgotten about that picture already

Horace mama, my maid is doing okay so far. But she cannot be on her own to complete tasks. I need to tell her my standard in every task and keep an eye on her while she is doing since sometime she said understand or clear then turn around she did something else. Besides it is too early to comment since most people say they will show their fox later. Therefore better be strict and demanding at the beginning. BTW do you know if we should offer her labour holiday (eg ching ming festival)on their first three month? My agent said I don't need to but I am not sure if it is legal.

Labour holidays are statutory.  Your maid is entitled to such holidays, but for the 1st 3 months, they should be no-paid.  So you'd better let her know about this and make this clear in the monthly salary statement towards the end of this month.

If you have doubt, you can call the Labour Dept.  Their lines are not as busy as the Immigration

Babyu, my agent told me that she is not entitled to any holiday (except Sun) for the first 3 months.

Yes, they always said they understand and then turned around and do other things.... Horace is doing a little bit better with "Che Che" but he still needs me to stay at home together with him.

2 more days to school and it's going to be Easter holiday lah!!

Yeh Eatser holiday is coming. For me, I'd rather let Eugene is go to school as I have no free time when Eugene stays home.

Good to know that Horace is starting to get along with the maid. For Eugene, I don't think he likes my maid too therefore I let my maid to take care my baby and I take care Eugene. I believe later when he builds up relations with her. He will let her to take care him.

Today Eugene came back and said there is a Zhang Lao Shi teaching them chinese. He also sang a Putonghua song although he cannot prounce the lyrics accurately, I felt so happy already and immediately recorded it in video.

Last night, I asked Andrew if there's a teacher Zhang, he then sang a song, which I really can't hear what he was singing    Anyway, he seems to enjoy the PTH class.

What he told me once I stepped in the house was that they were having Easter egg hunt in the playground yesterday.  He was very excited about that.  Then I asked him if they had eaten the eggs, he told me that those were fake eggs only.
