I'm not sure if the school is closed for the holiday but you can try calling after Aug 13 as the term will start on that day.  The Elementary section will move to the new school building in mid October.

Will you join the ICS playgroup? We've planned to choose 3 days a week in the morning.  What about you?

It's a pity that they have postponed the playgroup to Jan. and so my son will attend another playgroup in the coming months till Dec this year.

Yes, I'll join the playgroup, as my elder daughter is also studying in ICS. I'm now taking my younger son to a playgroup in Tsuen Wan and will move to ICS's in January.

Thanks for your prompt reply.  Yes, we have applied the ICS R1 as well   It's likely that your son and my son will become classmate in the very near future!  Will your elder daughter be promoted to R2 this month?

My son will join playgroup at Anfield end of this month.

Just learn that there will be a PA forum next week to discuss the tuition fee for 2008/09.  Any idea what will be the extent of fee rise?

While understanding the school will have a lot of expenditures after moving to the NSB, I hope the rise will not be too drastic beyond my affordability.

Hopefully there won't be any raise for the year 2008/09.  Last year when they decided to raise the fee, parents opposed.  I don't think this year they will be "brave enough" to raise gwa?

I am a new parent, but it seems to me that there was already a fee rise this year despite the opposition by the parents.  Is it true?

Assuming parents themselves are having payrise to a certain extent, I think a mild increase will be acceptable considering the genuine need of the school and reasonable expectation of staff payrise.  But just hope it would not be too drastic.

Let's hear what they say in the forum first.

Yes, there was a fee rise this year despite the opposition by the parents.  So...at the end they lower the raise.

Yes.  The increase last year was 6.8%.  If the increase is necessary and justified, I don't mind paying a little more to ensure the quality of our kids' education.

Dear AAA-Mom,

Playgroup of ICS is called Pre-Reception Class which is targeted those 2-year-old children. Up to date, they don't have too much information regarding this Pre-Reception Class.  The Staff of ICS will send all applicants (Parents) an questionnaire about their preference on no. of days to be attended and time for session.  The Pre-Reception Class will tentatively be commenced on January 2008 & be arranged at existing premises.

Hope the above information useful & correct me if wrong.

Thanks Iris for answering the question raised by AAA-Mom. As far as I know, they may not consider introducing Chinese lesson into playgroup.

Dear all ICS Parents,

My son is 4 years old now and I would like to apply this IS for Pre-grade 1 (i.e. P1) now for the admission year 08-09.     

Does anyone know when will be the interviewing time if I apply this school now?    The interview will be arranged right after my application or until next year?

Do you know how the interview will be conducted?

My friend has sent the application form for P1 and visited the school in Aug.  She said the interview will be held in the coming Jan.  That is all I know.
