Hi all, I just bought the Wide eye  set last month at $9,388, but now it costs only 6,300 !!!!!

My son is now 3 years & 7 months old, he also loves to watch the VCDs, listen to the CDs and read the books of wide eye, and he loves to play the puppet theater as well.    I agree that Wide eye is suitable for the older kid s who also have certain extent of English foundation.   

As to the Magic English, I think that the stories/contents in the DVDs are still OK, however, the CDs for doing the activities contain a lot of Cantonese.

可能無人幫到你，因為每部機有獨立的serial number，每個member 唔可以買多過一部機，所以should be 唔可以幫不是自己名下的機維修． 送貨時部機的serial number 係
mark在係張check 貨單上的．（如無記錯的話）

Dear all

My son is 4.5 months old and I am planning to buy him DWE.  

I saw the conversations - seems that only minnie set is good for my son at this stage??  

Should I buy this during baby fair or book fair??

I can share with you that buying DWE when your kid is 18 months old will not be late.  My son is also 18 months old and I bought the minnie set for him last week.  Though I have received the samples when he was 3 or 4 months old, I did not plan to buy at that time becasue I think it is very expensive.  Why I changed my mind was that I saw two of my friends who bought the DWE to their kids(also at around 18 months old) and their kids language skills improved significantly.  One of my friend said her daughter did not talk so much but after watching the DVDs of DWE for a couple of months, she like to speak and sing so oftenly.  They told me that the language development skills of a 18 months old baby is very strong and they can pick up the language pretty fast if they have interest in it.

I can't tell whether my son can learn similar to my freinds' kids or not but I know that he likes the videoes and songs very much and will laugh and smile.

Thanks for your info.  Did you buy it from World Family or a 2nd hand set?  As I found it's very expensive, however, if I buy a 2nd hand set, I worry about how to teach her by using the materials.

I think buy in book fair is good because they have so many things promote to the customer.

should be cannot buy cd mate anymore, because it no stock for long time and seems to be will not available anymore, that why they give DVD machine/books etc.

Sorry for the late reply coz I haven't gone to BK for a while. I bought it from World Family.

Don't worry about how to teach her for using the materials if you want to buy from a 2nd hand set as I believe many parents(including me) are willing to share with you.
