Ha ha, we are similar but not exactly the same.  We did not apply for APS & KTS.   We have given up TSL, SMC, TT & GT.  We only keep SFA because I really like SFA.  And we are waiting for CKY (and DGJS of course, though the chance is slim.)

Can u tell yr daughter's kinder level good or competitive enough for applying Dss/private school? My gal is in the same kinder at K2 and younger one will have K1 interview in early Dec, thx for sharing

do u mean that those study in DGJS 100% can go to DGS(even they are not good at academic) ? Coz some people said that only those are good can go to DGS i.e not 100%!

From my understanding, DGS is a one dragon thru school. Moreover, there is plenty of seats offer to both DGJS and outsiders.

No actually what I meant was because MCS is a govt school, only about 60-70% of primary kids can get into MCS secondary. So, in P5 and P6 everyone will have to study like crazy because their grades from those 2 years will determine whether they can go to MCS secondary.

All govt subsidized schools basically follows this format.

Well this is what I understand, may not be 100% accurate and I am sure the more knowledgeable mommies can elaborate more.

Angelakibb, agree with your analysis. There is no best school but it depends on whether the kids are suitable to the schools or not.  Quite some of my friends' kids go to different schools because of different character.

Ha ha, actually I know that APS and KTS are very good schools.  I did not apply because I have already applied a lot of schools, and I would prefer those with English as the main teaching medium.  (I applied GT for other reasons)

Oh, back to our topic, hope we are lucky for DGJS la .......
