I had given the red coat to the teacher of schoolbus for change of size for at least 3 weeks.  Anyone knows when can I get back the suitable size of red coat?

Hi Joyce's Mom,

Last time I got the changed red coat on the same day.  So it shouldn't be that long as they have stocks in the office.  You'd better write a note to Ms. Chan tmw as well as clarify with the school bus teacher (I believe that you passed the coat to her and she should be the one who help to pass to Ms. Chan).

Thank you for yr information.  I've checked w Ms. Chan today and she told me there is no stock in the office right now.  So all I can do is just wait.

Without yr information, I won't know so much about Vianca's school life. Because when I'm home at night, Vianca had forgotton(esp after her nap) what happened in school in the morning.
Tonight I can ask her about the mouse song la.

Totally agree with you, Vianca' mum.  Without this forum, I won;t know so much about what is taught in the school.

Same as you, when I am back from work at night, Fu Soen forgot most of the things happened in school.

Dear all moms,
I'm really pleased to share what I heard from Calix & moms from other threads!  If I were a working mom, I may not know as much as our kids' school life too.  

This week, in addition to the colouring homework, they've got one more pre-writing exercise too.  I think they've been practising in the school for some time already as I found that Calix looks very "experienced" in doing the line-tracing.  Also, recently Calix loves doing the ABC copy books very much!

Also, I guess when the teachers teach the kids about letters & Chinese words, they'll also show (maybe just briefly) how to trace the words as I found that Calix likes to trace the letters & Chinese words when reading the picture dictionary & the Chinese word cards.  You can observe whether that happens to your kids too.

Today Calix suddenly said,

"Can you sing?  Yes, I can." (nodded)
"Can you run?  Yes, I can." (nodded)
"Can you jump?  Yes, I can." (nodded)
"Can you fly?  No, I cannot." (waved his head and pointer)

One more, they've learnt a set of exercises (moving the arms) and will say, "1,2,3,4...2,2,3,4...3,2,3,4...4,2,3,4".  After that, they'll breath & blow before stop.  Very funny!

Calix changed his seat again...still in Banana Group but sitting next to So Ching Kiu & Chloe Ko now.  Calix wanted to sit next Lo Yee Fun but Ms. Chan told him that Lo Yee Fun's place is too 迫.  I guess that's just the excuse of Ms. Chan to move Calix away from Lo Yee Fun so that they can meet more new friends.  That's good to Calix as he's too shy to make new friends!

Last week, I'd put a pack of sea weed in Calix's snack box.  He loved it very much but this morning b4 going to school, he said he didn't want to take sea weed to school as it would make the place and his school uniform dirty.  I asked if that's said by Ms. Chan and he said yes.  I think I'd better not to give him that kind of snack next time as my son should be messy in eating them.

Seems that K1H's moms are very busy...recently so many threads of K1 admission so that our thread can no longer be found in page 1 lah...

Calix said "I" is for an ice-cream and an ice-cream cone...

I also know that they'd learnt comparative words like bigger vs smaller; taller vs shorter etc. coz today when Calix's playing the playdoh, he asked suddenly, "which one is longer/shorter, the blue one or the green one?" (he had made 2 sticks)...then when I read the story book with him, he pointed to the books and said, "which one is bigger/smaller, the blue one or the pink one?".  To my surprise, English seems to be a frequently used medium for teaching maths & general knowledge.

Btw, for the colouring classwork, not only "quality" (like not to exceed the borders" is required, "speed/time to finish" is also very important.  Today, Calix was very frustrated when showing me his classwork.  He said he couldn't finish the colouring within the time limit (he didn't colour the eyes of the worm) and therefore he cried in the class.  What I can do is comforting him by saying that he had done a good job already (didn't exceed the borders a lot) but he needs to colour the pics faster next time.
Calix's nursery teacher always said that he's very 滋油 and was always the last one in eating, queueing etc..  So Ms. Chan offers a good training for him now, haha!

Yes, Camom, that's what I think too.  K1H mummies are very busy recently...we haven't heard from Cassidy's mum for a long time
