They are two separate activities.  

24 April 09 is worship of 50th anniversary. I replied that my son do not attend and then I received an invitation for me.  I wrote Miss Lee before Easter Holidays but fail to receive any reply till now. I think the invitation would only be sent to the parents whose children were replied not to attend the worship.  I most likely do not join, except.....

For the show on 24 June 09, it will be held in the evening/night at a hall in PolyU. As mentioned by my son, some students are selected to rehersal/dance (may be a round of selection) on Mondays and Fridays before Easter, however, very few are selected finally.   The details of the show and the invitation may be announced and released later.

I don't think the invitation cards only for parents whose children would not attend the worship.  

By the way, my son told me yesterday and just talked the details with me that Lin老師 ask him to join a play role as "爸爸" on Jun 24 (details same as yanyan-fish mentioned), Yui-Nam (Upper Love) plays as "公公", a girl (upper brave) plays as "媽媽",  and one from "Nursery class" as "BB"...  The rehearsal will be started after the 金禧博覽.   Today, all the characters go to take photo in the early morning, so that my son no need to do classwork and Miss Lee wrote the "字頭" for him...

24/4我都填咗唔join, 因為朗朗下午要上游泳班,但我收唔到invitation card喎??
25/4我shortweek,我會早上10-11點左右返去~

I plan to call Miss Lee tonight to ask about the detail of invitation to see what it is for.

On the other hand, I received a letter from KRS last Tuesday on the matter of the show on 24/6/09.  My son was selected to be one of the actors of the part of kindergarten. He was requested to wear colourful clothes and made up today for 拍劇照來print場刊.  (but I did not help him to made up as I have no 化妝品 at home except lips).  One K2 Love girl of our school bus also made up today for same purpose.

(no matter the children were replied to attend the worship or not) and we are (很榮幸地) on the list.
If I attend, I can come with my son and sit together at the 禮拜堂上層.
I am still thinking about this and will ask my son if he would like to attend or not. However, I would like to leave earlier around 4:00pm as the ending time mentioned on my invitation not the time for students, no matter my son goes to school either
at 1:15pm by school bus or 2:30pm with me, because we have other activity afterwards.

By the way, my son told me that your son and other actors/actress took photo yesterday. His team needed to took photo two times. He said your son 戴了一頂帽是用我們在生日會時用來歡迎生日小朋友的”掃掃”的紙條做, 另外還穿上一件衫足以遮晒佢穿緊的衫褲…

For parents, I don't know but seems no need to come if not receiving invitiation cards.

林園長咁俾面, 我都要俾吓面o既! 我之前有問過阿仔, 是否一定要去.  佢就話 "緊係要! 有邀請卡, 緊係要去!".  我原本個日下午會去Disney, 如果返學校, 就星期一先去.
