I did go to the school this morning for the 2nd application, and gossip with Principal Lo for few sentences only.  I really don't know what to say....

Is there no chance to admit to EC if we (all member of my family) are not Christian?  Quite upset since last night, but my son knows nothing.

Do you mean you were not succesful in both the 1st and 2nd interviews last year?  When did you go to "knock on the door" and how?  Write letter, telephone Principal or stand in front of school door everyday?

我是沒有參加first round, 第2 round failed 之後即時寫信給學校, 跟住過了好似1 個月度校長再約見家長, 不過當日都有好多人interview 架.

I called school around 11:00am, the staff said even we are failed (not waiting list) on 1st round, we can re-apply on 2nd around.  Therefore, we will apply again on Friday.

雖然我們不是教徒, 希望也可入讀一間好的學校.

Don't worry about whether you are Christians.

We have current P1 students with the family that are not Christian.

I also know some Christian family that cannot get into EC in first round last year.

Just try hard and hope for the best.

God love everyone of us and prepare the best for us.

Right! you can re-apply again. don't wait to Friday...ha ha tomorrow go go go..ha I'm failed the 1st round and just today I re-apply again. 同樣他們需要收$100 報名費. 但如果你想keep 原本之前已遞的file.那必須在報名表上for office use 的remark一欄裡註明番上次我interview No. 就ok喇.

囝囝是播道小一學生, 十分適應及喜歡上學; 現在看到落選家長的心情,便想和大家分享舊年我們的情況。

我們獲悉有播道書院的時候已是播道第二次招生了! 聽完簡介會, 加上做了一些資料搜集後, 發覺原來它就是我們一直追求的Dream School!

當天面試日我們三人都表現很好, 可是仍是和你們一樣 ‘unsuccessful’, 當時極度失望的我便歸咎於因為我們不是基督徒罷了!

幸運的是在無意之中與有經驗的朋友傾談裡明白到學校是喜歡關心子女的家長, 加上一定的誠意便有可能在八月尾獲得多一次面試的機會!

所以由落選後直至再獲得與校長面試前我們先後寄了四封信給校長, 第一封當然是表達很失望並且極期望入到貴校等等內容的信, 第二封是附上囝囝獲得幼稚園上學期的學業進步獎証書, 其餘兩封都是附上課外活動的進級証書以保持聯絡。

二月尾終於獲得盧校長的來信邀請我們面試!

記得盧校長當天主要問了我先生對傳統教學及普通話教中文的看法, 後來他倆還討論香港的學校行IB的可行性及面對的困難!

最後在面試結束前, 他問我倆還有什麼問題時, 一直處於緊張狀態及沒有發言的我便有點兒結結巴巴但直接說出心底話: “十分希望囝囝能成為播道的一份子, 成為你的學生! 我們一定會儘力與學校合作培育這個小朋友。”

還記得盧校長聽完之後那個親切的笑容! 終於在三月尾收到接納信了!

後來在小一預期日那兩天終於發現囝囝落敗的原因!

撫心自問一直是很滿意囝囝的學業程度, 然而原來真的一山還有一山高! 那天親眼看見在禮堂中當老師問問題時, 五班約一百五十人之中的絕大部份學生都表現出反應快, 有禮貌, 富邏輯又活潑地回答老師的問題!

雖然只是個多月的時間, 從囝囝的校園生活中已發現老師很有愛心, 盧校長更是一位值得我們信任和尊敬的學者!

很感恩能參加到這個大家庭!

希望明年大家在校園內相聚!
