K2BP - I can see only 4 new students there.  PTH teacher , Miss Lin is absolutely Scott's type.  How lucky Scott is! This boy is so exicted to be a Keen Mind boy - Oh! he called himself Keen Mind guy!!!
  I am expecting to see Scott's changes after  joining Keen mind.

Ha ha ... thanks for reminding me to bring my son ....         Glad to hear that Scott is going to have a "new" life in KM!  My boy's PTH teacher is called Miss Chiu who is a nice lady, too!   

Just check my boy's uniform size as follows:
School : Size 30
Cardigan : Size 6
Sports : Small

re uniform- you know for k1, they changed to have new style PE unifrom, but we were all angry with the Laws tailor. we paid the $$ ,90 per set on July and the lady said uniforms are only available on 8/15, when we picked up last week, they told me it is new style uniform, only for k1 , then we have to pay $ 10.00 upcharge because of the new quality - 100% cotton..
but they didn't tell us in advance..  
the man of this shop said if we didn't pay, then their staff needs to bear $$ because she didn't tell us.. on that day, it seems so   :-x , then we paid finally.

the PE uniform is polo tee in white color, with orange short pant.

I already "tested" Miss Chiu's PTH using my ugly PTH on 26/8 ...        She even kept her mouth shut when I talked to the Cantonese teacher.

Oh!  How come K1 mums have such bad experience with Laws!?  I pre-paid on July, too!  They called me to get the sports uniform on 15/8 and I did.  Same style and colour as what you described (no extra charge), except for the quality I bet.

is your PE uniform new style? I know they didn't mention before, and they do not insist us to pay $ 10.00, but you know on that day, he mentioned that if we don't pay, this staff needs to pay by herself, which her face is so poor because she didn't mention, then...

Re Uniform- really, they said only k1 changed PE unifrom, tung tung should wear the old style- crew neck, white with yellow collar band..
and our styles is polo shirt..

係呀新款架, 我見轉左橙色褲時都多口問, mud轉左呀, 佢仲答我[新生要著新校服], 當時我個心仲唸{車, 都9唔答8既, 問你係未轉左新, 你話"係"未得攞}, 我件係白色有領polo恤+橙色褲

不過我覺得校服整體黎講d料真係麻麻地

re new PE, quality is better than old one, because it is 100% cotton pique stitch, it will be long lasting a bit.
but overall I feel the uniform is not pretty.. especially for the shirt + pant( summer).

Carson_mum,
you can check with KM, if some new students will wear the new style, you can order also.
but i think $ 100 per set is so expensive, as the cost is actually very cheap..

Phew!  Glad to hear that some K2 mums have the new sports uniform as well.

Re PTH teacher - Yes, the PTH teacher for K2AP is Miss Chiu.  I told them I was a bit worried about the kid's listening.  They reassured me that they will use a lot of media and body language to make them understand, and the child will get used to the language quickly.

From my work experience, a lot of PTH teachers are 100% Hongkie and they would use Cantonese for informal occassions.  Even some from Mainland China can speak Cantonese very well and they would talk with the students using Cantonese.  Of course, it does not happen very often.

I don't know if Miss Chiu can speak Cantonese or not (at least she did not show me during the parent day).  So if the teacher uses 80% PTH in class, it will be ok for me.  At this stage, therefore, I would prefer to trust the school and the teacher about the extent of the PTH they use.  Kids are very smart nowadays.  They can adapt to the learning environment of 兩文三語 easily.  My kid's reporting skill is quite good, I will let you know more about the school's PTH teaching shortly.

Well, I have to admit that the uniforms make kids look "薯" .... but they are smart inside ...

Size 32 shirts & shorts

Cardigan: Last week,Tailor Law told me size 6 can be available at mid. /end Sept.  Then they rang me up again and said that they won't make any size 6 this year. That means Scott has to wear pure white one without school logo in K2.  I am very disappointed with School Uniform Shop's arrangement.  I can't imagine how can it be happened like that??!!!  I hope this won't upset my little one that he is wearing something different with his schoolmates.

Sport: M size (Tailor Law asked me to buy the old style one.  She said all K2 new enrollment students are using old style one.  Is that true???)

2) How come the teachers in K2BP said we don't need to  bring 鞋袋,手巾,白鞋 on 1/9?   By the way,
I will bring whole lot of things if school office confirmed K2 parents that we have bring them all to school on 1/9.

RE.: PTH teacher
Miss Lin is  a nice looking Shanghai girl.  I talked with her in PTH on that day.   Her accent is not from north part of mainland China. Sometimes it does,'nt mean that PTH accent from north part of China is the most accurate one.  Miss Lin's  PTH is so far so good.
