Is it possible to attend R1 for the age of 2 yr and 10 months in Sept.? Any similar cases can share with me?

It's there any chance for a child of 2 yrs 10 months old to attend R1 in ICS? Pls share if you have any experience in this aspect, thanks!

Is your kid born after Sept 2004?
As my kid is born after Sept 2004, he can enroll R1 in
Aug 2008 only.

Though it's been a while since I brought out the topic you happened to pick up the other day, just to let you know that it has got nothing to do with the Debenture Program. I may have mentioned the way they have introduced, but particulary for us, that is not the cause.
It's the last thing I'd like to recall, and it's been a lot while already. I guess we'd just better let it slip away.

Since my husband love this school very much and it is close to our home, I have asked if there is any chance for my daughter(2y10m) to enter the 2007R1 this Sept. This answer was very disappointed. They said that they won't accept the child under 3 even if there is any vacancy

I guess the school is strict on the age requirement.  I know a boy born at the end of the year is admitted to R2 in August, although he has already completed K2 in June.  That's the school policy.

Dear Bakusensei,

After P1 classes leave from 7/F in October, I think that playgroup will be operated then. However, you are encouraged to check with ICS-Kindergarten.

Dear iristony625,

ICS-Kindergarten is planning for setting up playgroup. But now there are no more rooms for this plan. Due to new campus will be ready for elementary classes in October this year, it is possible that P1 can go to Shek Mun then those vacant rooms can be used for playgroup. Thus I think that the playgroup will be as soon as in October. From information shown in our monthly newsletter, the planned playgroup will be scheduled for Monday, Wednesday & Friday with 2 hours class activity......

Yes, the playgroup is likely to start in October.  You could contact the school to enroll it.  It's likely that they will open 2 classes.

Dear all ICS parents,

I am a mom of a 4 years old and 18 months old kids. I am thinking of whether I should choose international or local mainstream school for my kids.
I really have bias in the local mainstream system, especially for those "super-harsh" requirements for the school admission. However, I really can't see the "outcome" of those "kids" graduated from the local school are better than those who graduated from IS.
On the other hand, I am also a bit hesitated in sending my kids to IS because of the rumour that the moral standard of the IS kids is not highly emphasized. I am very worried about that as well.

Since you are parents of kids who studied in IS, I would like to know your point of view in this aspect. Thanks very much for your precious opinion!

I am interested in ICS. I found that many of the ICS parents in this forum are kindergarten parents. Are they any primary parents who can share their view fo ICS with me?

Actually I visited the new ICS school site in Shek Mun last week. Just from the outside, it seems that it may not be able to start schooling in September. But the environment and the school buliding are both attractive.

My kid is now going to be promoted to P2, I found that his learning style is most suitable with the IS curriculum, and since we are Christian, I would love to put him in a Christian IS. I went by the current ICS schools in Jubilee estate, but the office is close for summer holiday. I wonder when should I sent in the application, and when should I contact the staffs of this school.

Please share your experiences with me. Thanks.
