You may choice the english playgroup, even it is only one time per week. My son have joined the english playgroup when he is 2 years old. He is very happy to go there and he like to speak english after gone to the playgroup. Because he can show off himself and he like to speak to the teacher very much. It is good to have a english enviroment for him because you can't speak english to him at home(Your maider can't and your husband not always and you are not always at home). You may try this before go to Kindergarden.
It is good I can share my experiment with you.

Hi,
My consultant of DWE asked me not to speak English to my kid so that she could learn both Cantonese and English at the same time.  Otherwise, she may not know how to speak Cantonese.  My kid is now 2.5 months and we all speak Cantonese to her.  
Please comment.!

唔好講請教, 大家分享下心得. 如果妳個囡囡唔喜歡玩電話美語就唔好玩, 停一輪. 妳囡囡幾大, 小朋友到左四,五歲就會喜歡講電話, 我個仔都是最近先合作同美語姊姊講電話.  遲下再試, 到時妳就會覺得一個月得兩次電話美語咁小.

Hello All Mommies,

I received a promotion leaflet from DWE about upgrade of Super Mickey Set to World Family Set at a special price.

I bought Super Mickey Set when my babies are 4 months old and now they are 22 months old.  They love to watch all DVDs in Super Mickey Set so far.  I just wonder if Wide Eye is useful for my babies.  Be honest, I haven't fully utilised all the materials.  Just play CDs and DVDs for them.  I even haven't put up the posters on the wall.  Never play card game and right light with them.

I understand that Wide Eye is a totally different set of learning material with beautiful British accent.  However, it will be a wastage if kids do not want to watch it.  I just don't want to waste money.  Please advise.

I also want to receive comments from you all. I received the offer too, I am also considering to buy the world family set, but I am not sure wide eye and magic english are really good or not, so I would like to know if anyone of you had bought this full set? What about your comments?

I had bought the Minnie set when my daughter was 4 months and now she is 28 months, she can speak simple english, she likes to watch all DVDs and listen all CDs, so I am prepare to buy Micky set but I was notice that I should buy World Family set if I want to have the CD mate too. I don't feel happy with this, as I remember CD mate is included in Micky set, but the lady in customer service said that I should upgrade to World Family set if I want CD mate. So I would like remind anyone who are interest to have the english set from World Family, you should buy the Micky set from the beginning, as you could pay less and have more gifts. That is my comments.
Besides, I would like share with you all my happiness, I was a lazy mon I didn't play the playmate with my girl for about a few months, but I found the playmate by suddent, so I take it out from cabinet and play the talk along cards with my girl last Sunday and also last night, I was really surprised! because I show her "The kittens" talk along card last night, I intend to ask her say "The kittens" but when she saw that card, she face to me immediately and she said "The kittens are playing". Why/ how she can remember the phrase of this card. I just play this once last Sunday! I know I should not be lazy anymore, I will try to play the talk along cards with her everyday. Just would like to share with you.......

I have a similar case.  I seldom play the talk-a-long card with my kids.  Well, maybe just once a week. Last night, I took the card 'EAT' in which Donald is sitting at the table and eating.  I asked my younger son to read it and he said 'EAT'.  I was very surprised.  I was expecting him to say 'Donald' or 'table' but he said 'EAT'.  I am not sure if he really can read the word EAT, or he just read from the picture that Donald is eating, or he can remember the card.   It's a magic to me.

It is so early for your child to see the programme of Wide eye. The wide eye is suitable for the child about 4 years old and have the basic english level.  The programme speak english very fast. For my comment the wide eye is very expensive, it just play as a reference book, exercise and game. It don't like Super Mickey programme.

Thanks for your reply.  I think you are right.  My friend, who had bought the Wide Eye and she has a 3-year-old son, just now told me that her son doesn't like Wide Eye at all.

Did anyone of you bought the magic english? Is it good? What's the different between Micky set and Magic English?
When I phoned to the customer service, they insist me should contact to the education consultant about the correct price, as they explain that they do not have clear information about the price. Why? Does it mean that the price given by different consultant would not be the same?

Agreed with you. Really like a magic! But I think the kids most likely understand the meaning from the picture not from the word. I think my girl are the same, she just understand the picture!

I bought wide eye last year, december.  My girl is only 22 months at that time.  (now she is 26 months).  I think we got benefit fm wide eye as well.
Why ?  She can remember and even sing the wide eye songs faster than world family songs.  She like to read the story book of wide eye.  For the video (VCD), I like it as it is shorter than DWE, only around 25 minutes per disc, she like to read as wide eye have a real picture that DWE just cartoon.  Most of it have real picture.   For example, to learn shapes, it have the situation case where you can see that shapes, for big baby, it will have garden farms and show you puppy and dog, kitten and cat etc.  so I suggest you to buy Wide eye.

For the CD Mate:

As I know, it already out of stock, that why they use DVD machine as a gift.  So, even you buy world family set, you will not have a CD mate.

My daughter is 18 months old and I plan to buy a super mickey set on 2nd hand market as I found that she is very interesting in watching VCD, listening songs and reading books (I got some sample VCDs from DWE when she is few months old, and found she can learn a lot from the VCDs).  Do you think a 2nd hand set without a club backup is OK with her? Or it's too late to buy it?  Anybody have a 2nd hand set to sell?  Any other suggestions? Thanks.

I bought Wide-Eye when ths price is $9xxx. so i think now is very resonable( only cost$6300 ).
Disney Magic English is very different from Mickey set.There are24 stories which include CD & DVD & play cards.
