我昨天放工後便去個間校服店睇，但睇來好似校章有點不太相近，要下次帶埋實物再去比較。

This is Alan.
I'm glad that we have a discussion area here where I can share my experience with you.

My daughter Rosaline Ho is now 40 months old.  She is also going to study in York (K1) this September.   

However, she could start her school life a little bit earlier as she was recruited to join their pre-nursery course this January.  The class had only 15 students.  

I assure you that York is okay.
My daughter can enjoy her school life there while I can also find the teachers quite pleasant and proactive.  

Nevertheless, they have virtually no assignments at all!

I find the school bus service not very good.  We live in Tseung Kwan O and my daughter has to be on board the bus 7:40 am in the morning! Its terribly early.  It takes 80 minutes from Tseung Kwan O to Kowloon Tong?  Anyway, the baby-sitter can take good care of the babies.

Hope your babies can have happy school lives in the coming months!

I'm sure, Kachunma,
My daughter is now in N1A2.  The term is going to terminate 22/07.
I'm going to collect her school stuff/books 23/07.
I suppose she will be accelerated to N1A1 the coming September.

你小朋友在york返緊學？是不是適應班？york有班給未足3歲的小朋友的班上？

Its a preparatary course.  They call it Pre-nursery course.  

When the course was started, my daughter was already 2 yr & 10 mths old.  

There wa a invitation letter asking us to join their pre-nursery course accompanying their admission letter/notice.  

My daughter was in YMCA playgroup.  

Her mother prepfer formal kindergarten education instead of playgroup,so we joined the course.

What a pitty!
This is life.  
That's why we have to teach our kids to treasure the things they possess.
Though it is a tragedy, please take the chance to teach your kid to face the uncertainties of life.  It is a difficult task given the young age of your kid.

Hi All

Just would like to share my views on York:

To me, I surely think that York is a good school and you, as parents, have made the right choice for your kids.

My elder son has just graduated and will be in primary school this sep. I found that York is really very good at teaching English, esp. phonics. No wonder they have managed to achieve outstanding results in their public exams/tests these days.

Also, they have a well balance between studay and play (not like the other very traditional ones, just study, exam, test, and study !!! horrible school life !!!). You will find your kids having a fabulous school life every year - festive celebration, outings, visits, performance (the kids are really marvellous! u can never imagine your kid can do this well !!!)

I am really proud of my son and of course, thankful to York for their teaching. Though not all teachers are so good, average teachers are fine. That's why i am planning to have my younger son, who is now turning 2, to study in the same school. In fact, all the younger brothers and sisters of my son's classmates choose York. This is how u can tell the difference.

HI Fungmamei,
Both you and I share the same favorable view on York.
It seems that you know York quite well.  
Is it true that York is adopting 'Phonics' method to teach English?  
My daughter Rosaline Ho is now in N1A2 (Pre-N).
She is taking a 'Phonics' course twice weekly as her extra-curriculum activities.  I'd like to know if she is duplicating her studies.
