BTW, where do you go for gym? also think ...want to let Tungtung more exercise...then, will be better for her health. As right now, she suddenly refuse to go for dancing...so, no exercise for her to do....

and, she is easy to cold as well....

wed: eng 5pm

Maths is also important for child and it's good for them to learn at the earlier stages

Adan's mama introduce me to join in and share all about my son's shool life.

He does't tell me anything in shool, but sometime sing a song before sleep. He know some chinese word especially 爸、媽

Hi Weewee,

I do not know much of the Kumon class..cos i did not go in with him...but he did learn the numbers very fast...  We started when he is 3.2 yrs old..but some moms said it is better to start at K2 when they learnt writing skill...
The Kumon teachers always put comments at the handbook..such as "He needs more concentration" "he learnt well today"..or "he leads others to sing today" etc...So i believe the teachers do teach them apart from doing the exercise booklets.  As for the concentration improvement...Ms So said he is ok in school..but it is different story at home...

Tungtung is attending the english course at ESF. it take 3 hours on saturday...the content seem like what they do in KV kindergarten, ...

Anson brought her own picture book and doll about the theme "Animals" today.  She said Miss So collect the books and dolls and will let other kids share in the class.

I have let Anson wear the sport jacket for winter these 2 days coz it is really cool in early morning.  Did any moms do the same?

For English course, I prefer phonic coz Anson sometimes communicate with me in English when playing games but we are poor in phonic, so I cannot teach her that.

For gym, he goes to classes organised by 體育先鋒 at Australian inter'l school at Kln tong. if you're interested, i could pm you the website.

poor you! i think boys don't have patience for music wonderland. Adrian is also very restless too.  While other classmates (esp girls) are singing along and imitating the teachers' gestures, adrian is either looking around or busy pressing the buttons of the organ.  he usually asks for vv when he hears the lyrics 'Oui Oui Oui'!!!  He is really driving me crazy and i nearly left the room w/o him for a few occasions.
Nevertheless, i find that practice at home helps. i will jot notes during the lesson and revise the particular songs with adrian at home. if he couldn't do what the teacher asked him to do, i'll repeat the song again and again until he could do it. He now becomes more attentive during the lesson.

of course he has his preference.  I believe Adrian likes the gym and the drawing lessons the most. helikes swimming too. And i'm sure I think he prefers staying home to attending the tom lee class.
For kids gallery, he joins "Communication skills" & "Musical theatre".

Hihi!!! Welcome!!! Adrian always talks about Yuk Yuk. He said he and Yuk Yuk and Yat Kiu are good friends. Did Yuk Yuk say anything about Adrian? I believe they're all in orange team, right?

Oh, poor Adan. But i think if he is not having a cold or fever, he could have the flu shot. Adrian had his flu shot on Monday even though he is having nasal allergy. You could consult the doctor to see if it's safe. btw, what's the chinese name of Adan?

Chris also got a cough too.  I think he has eaten too much sweet stuff over the weekend (Hallowee Parties)!  He took the medicine and now is getting better but every time when he takes a certain period of time of medicine, he will lose appetit.  Therefore, I will make 羅漢果水 for him and let him drink a small cup before sleeping.  I found that it works well and can stop his cough and let him sleep well.

It is easy to make the 羅漢果水, take one or half of a 羅漢果, break it and remove the seeds and then throw the skin into water to boil for 20 minutes.  I usually store it in fridge and serve as drinks.  It is a kind of sweet drink and it is even better than the medicine.  Kids would like to drink it.  I always tell my son, it is juice!

Chun Him's not a patient guy, too. But out of our expectation, he likes music wonderland a lot! When we brought him to other music playgroups before, he didn't like them. But his attitude towards music wonderland is totally different. He's concentrated and willing to sing and move and do according to teacher's instruction. But he refuses to go out to dance when he needs to dance with other classmates. I dont' know why he doesn't quite like doing the same thing (e.g. dance) with others. So, he always does not receive a sticker from the teacher 'cos he doesn't dance with others. When I told him to dance next time, the teacher will give you a sticker, but he only replied to me that he doesn't want the sticker at all! So cool!

I used to play the tomlee CD at home during his dinner time 'cos he likes the songs a lot!

it is not necessary to accompany with them. Tung tung start to go this course at 3 years old.

yes, i also found 3 years are too long....but i will enjoy these 3 hours without her..to do what i want to do, eg, facial...etc...

oh!! i didnt let Tungtung where other coat....but maybe next week as next week will become cold...

yes, my friend who has 3 children, also recommend to attend phonics course. she said this is more useful for children, that why i join as well...haha
but just study near my home, not the famours one. i found Tungtung enjoy much and also, the teacher is foreigner as well. around 100 per lesson.
acutally not sure it is good or not, but just think, near and Tung tung like...haha

maybe, later when Tungtung become elder, need to find a better one..

for Tomlee, i also found boy are out of control during the class. most of them are gave-up already. still have 2 boys. but they always play together and dont listen teacher say....:(

Oh yes! This morning, I ask Adrian to wear the PE jacket  on his way to school. When he saw the jacket, he said Anson is wearing this to school too. Miss So said they won't turn on the air-cond until the 2nd part of the lesson. She said the temp of the classroom is not very low. She won't let our kids go out if the weather is chilling. I know some kids also wear the PE jacket to school.
Did Ms So ask K1A to bring books or animals? Adrian didn't say so bor...唉!!!!

Good for you! that means Chun Him has potential in music! I agree that attention span of boys is really shorter. You know it's a big headache going to tom lee with adrian. His dad refuses to go because he 搞佢唔掂. When the teachers are doing some movements, my son either  托住個頭 OR kiu 埋對手, 真係火都滾!
