Re: 2006 入讀 劍鳴K1 家長交流區 (part II)
Hi Chine,
My suggestion and my experience is:
1. arrive school by 9:00 am; they have the hall as playground. You can let your child play for 15 minutes.
2. enter the room earlier so you can introduce the teacher to your child and accompany your child in the class for a moment.
3. talk to the teacher about your child's problem (if there is any, like he is shy or any thing else).
That's what I did in the first week. My child cried for 10 minutes on the first day and kept crying a little bit for the first week; and thanks GOD, he starts doing good starting yesterday. AND NO CRYING STARTING TODAY.
KM's teacher is good in pacifying child. My son is in RM A; and I usually arrive there by 9:10 am and accompany my child in the hall for 5 minutes. Then, I bring my child to toilet, enter the class, and leave the class immediately (very rush, otherwise he may cry if he sees me.)
B.T.W., Please remember to bring snacks, wet towel, a cup, T-SHIRT, pants, underwear (in case he gets wet).
Hope to meet you in the hall next week. Don't worry. I have been there. I know how you feel. I remember last month I brought my child to summer course; and that's the first time I left him alone. He cried for 2 hours. Teachers are very very bad, never hold my son, do not know how to pacify the kid. That experience broke my heart. However, you have to know when he grows up, he has to go through the separation and get over the anxiety.
GOOD LUCK!
Cheers,
