Thanks for your reminder.  I also heard about it, but I never go early for bed, even when I was a small kid.  It is really difficult to go to bed early, unless I am sick.  Now, I am not working, so I don't need to get up early.... another excuse....

There is no need to thanks for my answering as I also faced your anxiety last year.  I am just lucky to be a full time mum so I can monitor my girl's study and since she is mature enough to answer me most of the questions, so I can help the others.

However, I really think you all should get the contact numbers of the parents in the same class of your girl.  Because some questions can only be answered by these parents.  Sometimes, you will need to call a few of them to make certain the answer.

I just can't find the notice about reading scheme.  Does the teacher take it back? or my girl lost it?  Now I don't recall which kind of book belongs to item B.  Anyone can help?

Thanks for your advice and indeed having some contacts in class is important.  

Here is the remaining part of the story:

With a clear idea of what it is about, the puzzle cleared. The question remains was just to confirm that the teacher had not yet distributed the folders in her class.  

I suggested my daughter to check with a few classmates to confirm that.  She shared your clarification with her classmates during the conversation.    After school, she was glad that she could even help out her classmates in the cover playground in the morning when many of them were still worrying about the folders.

The details of the reading scheme.  The scheme includes 3 areas, from October to May.

Item A: Use of library resources
Item B: Self-learning
Item C: Extensive reading

Item B for P1 includes:
- Buddy scheme,
- 中文8寶箱 （教育城網上活動)
- 及 其他閱讀活動

The notice was signed by parent and may be re-collected by your class teacher.  I made a copy before returning.

       A very good start.  I am sure she now has a lot of friends in the class and will enjoy her school live.  The best is, she learnt how to solve the problem by herself.

Regarding the reading scheme, A, B & C are not items but "Area" of the scheme to cover.  We should read it as Item 1 - 7 instead.

Item 1 - books borrowed from the "school" library.
Item 2 - magazines/periodicals borrowed from the "school" library.
Item 3 - Non-book materials, like CD-Rom or Video, borrowed from the "school" library.
Item 4 - "Buddy Scheme" - the P.5 & 6 students will accompany the P.1 & 2 students reading.  We don't need to take care of this item.
Item 5 - 中文8寶箱 及 其他閱讀活動 - Our girls will get a login ID and password from school to start the programme.  We should remind them to visit the website daily to complete it.
Item 6 - Books from classroom, home or public library. - Chinese readings.
Item 7 - same as item 6 but for English readings.

For Item 6 & 7, if the books are fiction, the number of pages should be over 20 pages, in order to put in the reading record.

The scheme is for the period of October to May.  Since there will be awarded in December, April & May, therefore, the minimum requirements should be for each term instead of the whole school year as I assumed in the past.
