I'm sorry. I have made a mistake about the amount spent on books this year. I haven't counted a cheque which I paid last July for all the books needed for English. So, the total amount we spent on books should be around $1,700.

Q1: "學校的英語老師及英語活動老師當中,超過十位外籍老師?"
A1: I don't know if there are more than 10 native English teachers (NET) in the school. For my son's class, he has 3 NET. One is for the Cambridge syllabus (Mr. Michael), one for Oral/phonics (Ms. Barbara), the other for English Information Technology (Mr. "Eder", maybe wrong spelling). He has also mentioned another 3 NET who don't teach him.
Q2: "現時各級上課以外的時段,星期一,三,五以英語,二,四以普通話溝通?"
A2: For the morning assemblies (every day before the first lesson), the speaker will use either Putonghua or English respectively. On Monday, Wednesday and Friday, there are English broadcastings by NET during lunch hours. The NET talks for a short while and then plays an English song, just like what a radio DJ does.

Q3: "『臻美的功課大都著重思考和創作,功課的數量雖然不多,但可能比抄寫和背書要花更多的時間。同一條問題,你可以三言兩語便收工,也可以花漫長時間去深入思考和創作。完全視乎小朋友的能力、興趣和家長的要求。』老師的要求又是怎樣?"
A3: Quite flexible .... 老師很讚賞小朋友能有自己的意見和創意。
Q4: "$300的潛能活動費,每月可參加幾項活動呢?可以選擇嗎?有那些選擇呢?據聞有些是必修的,有那些呢?"
A4: As Tommy said, it's quite complicated. Kids can choose a few items from : choir, swimming, painting, go (圍棋), science experiments, table tennis, flute, etc...... a lot more.
Q5: "請問拔尖補底的情況又是如何呢?是否一至六年級都會推行?"
A5: This policy applies to 中英數三科 of all grades. The children are not told whether they belong to 拔尖, 一般 or 補底. When my son was in P.1 and P.2, we as parents didn't know as well. But starting from P.3 (開學前), the form teacher informed us of his status in a formal written slip. I wonder if they have changed their won't-tell-anyone policy or they would only inform parents of higher grades. But I haven't told my son which category he belongs to and I don't think it's necessary.

Q : "What is the most attractive area for your kid in Pegasus and so as to parents?"
A : 對我來說,其中一個最吸引的地方是"課程設計",尤其是"主題教育"。記得我在數年前,在互聯網上,曾看過一篇英文短詩。作者住在南非,因種族隔離政策而遭到許多不平等的待遇,在詩中以天生膚色的差異,來表達心中的不滿與無奈。"Dear white, something you gotta know. When I was born, I was black. When I grow up, I am black .............. And you, call me "color"?" (just quote a bit) 當時看了,很是感動。今年在孩子的"奇妙的身體"教材內竟然看到這篇短詩,並中英對照,目的是教導孩子,雖然膚色不同,我們都是活在同一天空下,為什麼不能相親相愛呢?看後更是感動! ........... 另外學校亦參考了"100個人的村落" (If the world were a village of 100 people) ...... 很有意思。
最近他們的主題是香港的歷史。小朋友透過香港的街道來認識以往的港督 .......另外又認識一些懷舊玩意,昔日的電影和金曲等,聽舊歌學修辭法 ........很有趣。
其實校方所採用的教材頗具心思,趣味性很高。
而課程中亦包括有一些"特別"的科目,如"傳媒教育"、"個人發展與成長"、"社群學習"等 。早陣子發生校園欺凌事件,"社群學習"很快撥出一堂談論這個問題,老師與同學觀看故事短片,解釋什麼是欺凌,教導如何應付。
其實還有其他吸引的地方 ....... 暫時講住咁多先啦!
