SPCC 2nd Interview

睇完一 D 負面嘅分享，自己都有感而發想抒發一吓；既然都行到呢一步 (完成咗 2nd interview)，點解唔正面一 D 去面對將來嘅結果呢 ?? 咁快打定輸數 (買定保險)，個心係咪會覺得好過 D 呢 ??

記得舊年我哋一入到校長室，李校長安頓好我囡囡喺另一邊自己睇書之後，就同我哋講，"放心啦" (我哋重以為佢已經決定收我囡囡，叫我哋放心)，如果你囡囡唔可以喺呢間小學 (SPCCPS) 讀書，去到邊間(其他)小學讀書，都一樣會好好，唔駛擔心 ......  !!

一日未有最後結果，一日都唔知有咩會發生 ?? 希望大家可以積極一 D 去面對，加油呀 !!

Btw，連學校名都可以改到去 "嘩眾取寵"，就算係有目的又好，冇目的都好，喺做法上我都唔可以接受、認同 !!

你好, 小女已完成2nd interview! 有事請教!
co-ed 乃全港最貴之學府, 請問實質上Co-ed有那些資源投放在學生上呢?
1. 是否native speaking教授英語? 每星期有多少堂英語?
2. 是否每班也有2位老師? 班主任+ 国語老師助教?
3. 課外活動是否額外收費?
4. 如成績差的學生,有冇補底計劃?
5. 學校的合唱团及朗誦团是否要選拔?
6. 最后, 如有幸Co-ed 和 Marymount 都取錄小女, 你点睇 (as we can't fullfill the requirement of their subsidy plan and $ 6000/month school fee is a bit expensive for us).

咁啱嘅?! 舊年校長都係咁同我哋講 : "如果你囝囝唔可以喺呢間小學 (SPCCPS) 讀書，去到邊間(其他)小學讀書，都一樣會好好"

凡事未必係所想咁差, think positively.

My daughter also got chance for 2nd-in.
As I mentioned before, it's already a credit.

Of course, if the school accepted her, it's another encouragment.

If not, I'm still more than happy as my daughter really + much, much confidence. I mentioned many times as "你做得好, 所以有得見。'

But I also prepared her (& my hubby), every shool has +ve & -ve. No need to mind which school offer you a place. Besides, there will be top students in fair school and students with poorer performance in "good" school. The student his/herself is more important.

Also, 命運也很重要，有啲事是我們人可以控制列到...my daughter seems not really understand...I said just like God give you to us as my daughter...She looks better to accept this "fact".

Anyway, +ve parents have more chances having +ve kids...Hope we can:

To change those we can change,
To accept those we cannot change, and
to have the wisdom to know the difference!

Hi parents, anyone know when exactly the school will inform us on the final result? will they do so before 22 Nov when the result of the first round of luck draw comes? any parents with past experience know please?

Thanks for your encouragement.  I just want to express my feeling after the 2nd in.  It's not kind of 買定保險 or not.  Just like after taking exam, you would have in mind how is your score about.  We just think our chance is very little.  

Hope still there and let's wait until 22/11.

Nov 22th is Monday.  The result will be posted on School web-site on that day.  But it is possible that for some parents to receive the confirmation letter on Sat. before depending on where you live.

As collected from my friend, Headmistress LEE has mentioned that the SPCC’s final result will be released some days earlier than that of the discretionary school place allocation because she would like to allow some time for parents concerned to think whether to study SPCC at the final stage.

Any current P.1 parents of SPCC can enlighten us in the approximate timing of the result announcement and how? (say, also by phone, then by mail or just by mail?)

The result will be notified via mail, not by phone.  The list will also be posted on school website (with kids' ID nos.).

It is therefore really exciting to check the website and also open the letter !!

I also wonder if the letter will arrive us by this week.  Don't want to wait over the weekend ...

I guess it would be an unbearable experience to parents concerned.

It's easy to identify.  If you receive a thick envelop, congratulation.

I don't remember exactly the time when the result will be posted on the web.  But usually the school updates new web-site info. around 0900.  I think most of the family living in Hong Kong Island will receive the letter on Sat.

You will always have time to think about to accpet SPCC.  Even you accpet allocation from government school next Monday, you can still do regristration with SPCC later on and the school will send the info. to EB. Your previous regristration with government school will be de-listed.
